That TVP chassis has been there. I tried to make a comp rig out of that. No way to get the geometry right without motor on axle. And even then it’s really odd.

I must have missed it before, or I just forgot it was there, either way it's a nice touch. Your tow rigs look awesome.

Thanks,

I got the 6x6 out on the big rocks today. It is a monster and was able to drive up almost everything. It did really well for the first time out.

The Holmes Hobbies puller pro has enormous power and this rig needs it. Might have to go 4S.

Getting the power to the ground is the problem. Nice broken in Hyrax tires but they need a dual stage foam.
It can spin the rear tires and does not wheel hop. So I’m going to try different link and Shock angles to see what happens there. On steeper angles it can just light up the rear tires and fly up. But I want a more controlled craw.

Need to reinforce the body also.

With four wheels spinning out back this thing needs weight up front.

So the boys are going To load up the front end. They got a Hot racing front axle assembly and a bunch of brass. That should make it balance a little better.

And lastly the gearing is a little high. Started with a 10 tooth . Definitely too slow. And today with a 13 it was clogging a little. So 11or 12tooth pinion should be good depending on terrain.

I got enough accomplished tonight to be excited about tomorrow.
I removed all the locking diff stuff and installed steel solid locked differentials in all three axles.

The front I replaced with a Ya racing front axle. Then I added solid brass portal boxes. The axle weight went from 81/4oz to a whopping 1lb 3 1/2 oz. that’s 10 1/4 oz of un sprung weight as far forward and as low as it gets. The whole rig feels much different. I also made a tiny adjustment to the links of the rear axle.

Got out to the Gorge today and just quick run through the dozen or so known obstacles. Just to see how it did.

10oz of front axle weight made a huge difference. I say difference not totally better.

It did not flip over as bad and was easy to drive but the tires and foam just gave out under the weight. And the side hilling was reduced because of that.

The added grip from the link change and front axle weight made the cogging really bad. So I’ll switch the gear up.

Looks like the boys have some work to do.

Pull the motor and change the pinion gear. And pull the wheels and change the foams.

Man that thing looks badass. Awesome work!
