First: Traxxas Slash 2wd XL5 brushed (2015)
Most Liked: AE B74.1D
Least Liked: I like them all, but if I had to choose, it would be the slash or the rustler. Maybe even the mini b since of the ball stud/cup popping out problem.

Now you are just being nice LOL. I had a Hobby King Quanam Vandal, and i think that was made out of paper mache and the worlds cheapest toothpicks.
I had acme trooper, identical to hobby wing trooper. Handling was nice, but fragile, and diffs were junk. ESC died after couple of packs. I was breaking bulkheads without a single crash

Yup. If anything, Hobbyking taught me that "cheap" RCs are not cheap in the long run.

Another first gen FTX Zorro. They are made from cheap toothpicks and brittle bubble gum.

Now I remembered, I still have about 1.5 of those little 16th scale MTs, Hellseeker and Bad Bug, AKA Acme 2040. They were the only decent thing I got off HobbyKing. Little buggers ran on 4s! Unfortunately, spare parts are gone. :( I managed to sell a ESC/motor combo from one of them, but even that was hard because it has a 3.0mm shaft.

Good thread, lets revive it:

First: A used Traxxas Rustler XL1 with a crappy MSC, 20T Stinker, aftermarket baja bug body shell etc. Restoring this after a few decades is what got me back into the hobby. It also taught me all about customising RCs.

: It's a toss up between the OG RC10 and the Tamiya ORV platform. The RC10 is easy to work on and played a big roll in shaping RC designs. The ORV chassis for being a blend of weird ancient design, decent handling for such an old design, and surprisingly quick with even weaker motors. A 25T motor with NiMH will get you 25mph.

Least Liked: ECX Torment 2wd, it was just a very unremarkable platform, brittle plastics, rock hard tires, servo access is annoying, it also "zig-zags" when you reverse.

first: Kyosho Stadium Baja. bought it in April of 1998. still own it and have recently gotten it running again.

most liked: toss up between my Clodbuster and RC10T3. if i had to pick 1 to run the rest of my life id probably go Clodbuster.

least liked (that i own): probably my 1/18 Dromida's. they aren't bad, they just aren't great and don't really work in the real world. and they constantly seem to have weird issues that make them ether problematic or not functional.

My First RC: Traxxas nitro sport stadium truck. I still own it but the engine is cooked.

Most Liked: I don't have a favourite. They are all great. But I do have 2 6s Arrma's that I haven't even ran yet and 1 that I've only had out once so watch this space.

Least Liked: Probably the WLtoys A959-b. Made of monkey metal and handles like crap. But at that price point 🤷‍♂️. It's still fun though.

Least liked: Tamiya TT02 911 kit I haven't put together yet. (November)
i'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't consider listing the "TT-02" as cheating...

There are a few Tamiya on-roaders that I really didn't like, but they were at least different, there's little that's unique about the TT02.

First: Tamiya TT01-E (Although mine has been completely modded/chassis converted so I guess it could be considered something totally different. )
Favorite: Mertz SK Pan Car
Least Liked: Hard to say, but I guess Tamiya TT01-E in it's stock form.
