iv had an ongoing issue with the electrics in my RC10T/original electrics from my SC10. 3300kv Reedy motor and Reedy SC600-bl esc. when accelerating from a dead stop it takes off slow and then after a second - second and a half or so it's like someone smashed a nitrous button and the truck takes off like a scalded cat and it'll run fine as long as i don't come to a dead stop again.
i originally thought it was a battery issue cause i was only using a 2300man 20c pack. but it does it with my 5000mah 60c pack as well.
iv tried calibrating/programming the ESC.
iv tried changing gearing thinking it was a cogging issue but it had no effect.
it only seems to do it under load, if the truck is on a stand freewheeling it's not detectable, but with the truck on flat ground it's visibly and audibly noticeable.
only other thing i can think of is it's because it's sensorless. but iv got other sensoerless systems in other cars that don't do this.
idk it's just kind of confusing, figured id ask, see if anyone has any ideas or knowledge that may help the situation.

Look at your manual and adjust your punch setting.
The punch setting allows you to control the throttle response.
You can also adjust this with some transmitters.

👆 Along with punch settings, also check all the other settings in the ESC for anything that might be "off" or anything that you think might possibly cause that iussue.

The punch setting wouldn't have lag like a turbo before it comes on though. I can't think of anything that would cause this issue unless there is an EXP setting in the radio turned all the way down or something.

But if a bearing or two got siezed up, at low RPM the motor would struggle until it gets moving.

@Suburban_Hooligan - can you turn the brake off in the ESC? If so, when you let off the throttle, does the car stop suddenly?

Both EXPO and bearing issues are legit suggestions. I'm assuming that ESC doesn't have a programmable throttle curve, but if it did, Id check that too.

don't think the ESC has a punch setting. not sure if my radio does ether (Futaba 3PL) ... it's done this with 2 different radios in 2 different trucks. I'm assuming that rules out a radio issue (?)

bearings have been checked.

don't know if i can turn brake off. id probably have to mess with throttle calibration.

it's a pretty basic ESC. no features to turn on/off that I'm aware of.
here's the manual, maybe you guys will see something i don't https://img2.associatedelectrics.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/shared/Reedy_ESC_SC600BL_Manual.pdf

I don't know what else to suggest then other than try a different motor. If it still does it, it might be something wrong with the ESC.

I've had a dean plug the spring side fail . and had a voltage issue underpower..check those...
