I am about to buy one of these but I keep going back and forth. I love the XB8 for it's lightness and quality of finish. On the other hand I am astounded by the technology and the engineering on the TT buggy, it looks like the build quality is there as well. The one turn off about the TT buggy is that Thunder Tiger really hasn't caught on in the States, how much are the parts availability going to be a factor? My LHS sucks when it comes to everything besides Traxxas (as far as buggies go) so I guess I will have to purchase most parts online (same goes for either buggy).

Weigh in if you have an opinion, especially on the TT buggy, as I have read a ton on the X Ray. Any websites that have info would be appreciated as well.

drove an XB8, MBX-5 & 777 monday nite all tuned by same guy.....the 777 was the best handling...real close to the XB8.....and the MBX-5 was just fast as hell outof the hole so it was more fun in the technical sections w/ the close jumps....never tried TT and I don't know anything bout their buggy....I have a TT pro.21 in my OFNA buggy and it does the job...
I don't race
I jut pretend to

My money is w/ Mugen on my next buggy

I am considering an S3 as my next RC project. I tend to lean towards the new technology which is why I like the S3.

xb8 all the way....as for the tts3 i feels its gonna go over like that"AWSOME NEW" eb4 did....all the hype...none of the buggy....

just my opinion.....

I'm with you husky, why would tt sudenly have a race winner when they never really have before, and as for new tech, other than the chassis there is none, arm over shocks are not some thing new and have been tryed before, it wont save your shocks anymore than if there front loading. the arm that protects is after all only plastice that bends, it takes a hell of a wack to break a shock shaft, and anyway mopst shock break cause theres to much droop and the piston keeps pounding the bottom of the cylinder, aventually busting the shaft just under the retaining nut, as for the chassis one would think that kyosho mugen and the likes have tried moulded bracing etc

It sure would be nice If everyone could drive differant buggies tuned the same before we buy! I was between the Mugen Pro-Spec and the XB8! My first 1/8 scale and I decided with the XB8. Will not get to drive it for at least 4 more months due to winter :spit:

If it were me I would try out the TT, but I really have nothing to back it up, as I don't own either, and I already have two buggies to drive if it does end up being crap. I'll probably get one, but not until I see one in person, and get rid of something else.
