you're making me want to watch the Herbie movies again. been a while sense iv watched them. i have the box set with all 4 original movies. have Herbie Fully Loaded. and somewhere around here i have a VHS taped straight off the TV very bad "remake" (at least i think its supposed to be a remake) of the original from like 1997.
the original The Love Bug movie has some cool race cars in it.

I remember when i researching some of the VW's from the films i found out the car that was the Thorndyke special or at least one of them still exists to this day. This car, Really unique the body and chassis was built in Italy then shipped to the USA to get either a 3.5L\215ci or 4.9L\300ci V8 both with 4 SPD manuals and was meant to be an alternative to the Ferrari's and Lamborghini's of it's time but with the reliability of a GM product.

Nothing will ever beat the F40 for me.

I had a poster of the F40 and a white Countach on like "wet, lightening struck" background growing up.

The gold ol days!

I would be the Black Knight in Monty Python just to ride in anything of that caliber today.

I actually saw one of these turning into one of the local high schools probably a week ago. I out loud in my car, said what the heck Isuzu is that? Had no idea of was a speciifc model.

For me, I've always wanted a clean FJ40. I have an old diecast FJ40 made by Majorette that I've had since I was a kid, it's white with black zebra stripes and I've always wanted a real one to paint the same way. Likely the closest I'll get is if I buy a Wrangler and get it wrapped the same way but then I'll look like a own a zoo haha

I love the look of those FJ40s too. I know a couple guys with them near me. One is tan one is white. The Zebra stripe idea would be so cool!
I almost bought an FJ62...but then an FJ80 came along and was too good to pass up.

I've always wanted a turbo porsche 996 turbo. Though I only have Porsce 944 money.

I wanted a Mitsubishi Evo ever since watching rally racing growing up through the 90's. I bought a 2006 evo 9 new in 2006 and owned it for 8 years. I sold it which was a mistake. I do have a first generation turbo mitsubishi eclipse to sorta scratch the itch of what the first generation (evo 1-3) would feel like as we never got those in the USA.

I wanted a Honda S2000 ever since playing Gran Turismo through college. I also wanted the updated first gen NSX. I ended up buying and currently own a 2000 Honda S2000 with under 30K miles.

Me and my dad are currently building a 1969 FJ40. It's definitely gonna make the Toyota purists mad, but we are 350 Chevy swapping it, 5 inch lift, custom fuel cell, 35 inch tires, power steering, and a whole bunch of other goodies. It would be cool if we had a car section of the forum so I could start a build thread of it, to track our progress on it. It's blue, with a white top.

That's what general chaos is for. Free for all.
Throw it up! Bump it when needed.

Let's see this thing!!! 😍

I'm actually headed to the shop tonight to finish the lift kit install on my S10 blazer, so I'll grab some pics of the FJ while i'm there!

Very cool! Would be awesome to see the build. I have a '94 Land Cruiser. Sometimes I think of what I'll do when the engine goes...rebuild, LS swap, full EV conversion (somehow). It's got 327k miles on it. I love Toyota's

😆 I think if likely go rebuild of the 1FZ- FE. Part of my just wouldn't feel right putting a Chevy engine in it (thought lots do). BUT, I'm getting away ahead of myself cuz it's still running great. 😊
