disposing a 8000mah battery

The balancing leads on my 7.4v 20c 8000mah battery broke off. I want to solder them back on. Lhs said to destroy the battery. Any thoughts? If i destroy it what is the recipie?
How much salt vs. How much water?. Can i still use it w/o harming my motor?

Its a lipo battery.

I would dispose of it....Put 1 cup of salt in a gallon of water leave the lipo in it for 3 days before pitching it.

Thats what i figured. Thanks.. Any other battery id chance it. Lipo can be unstable i hear. Should i discharge it first and how.

no need to discharge it....the salt water will make the battery become inert
