I have the FS GT5 and there is a plug in the battery compartmnent. I used AI and I do not think it understands. the female plug looks like a standard JST plug Not the JST PH2.0 on some batteries.
I am wondering if anyone has experience in this and verify that the JST PH2.0 will NOT fit and should not fit in the standard JST plug.

Thanks

Yes I believe that's right. JST PH2.0 are not compatible with JST RCY. JST RCY is what I believe that red connector is. And what it appears like you'll need. The FS GT5 literature just calls it JST looks like.
JST (Japanese Solderless Terminal) is a catchall term. I've went down the rabbit trail trying to figure out just who uses what. Axial 1/24 is fond of JST PH 2.0 and then others like Redcat A18 use JST RCY
