Did a little liquid mask today-Jconcepts Finnisher body

Got my Jconcepts Finnisher Kraton body trimmed & prepared for paint & hydro dip. Window masks applied & sharpie marks laid out. Sprayed liquid mask with a electric HVLP sprayer. I'll trim out the marks & paint headlights & scallops 1st then hydro dip it. WIP

Thanks man! I'll use 3 different colors. Grill will be gun metal. The windows black. The headlights & scallops translucent orange. The dip film is a skull pattern. I may back the dip with the T-orange spray. See how it looks 1st.

Little progress. Trimmed & removed the liquid mask for the windows & grill & painted them black. Masked off the headlights and scallops with tape so I can still see them to trim & paint a different color. I hope this works out as planned.

All the liquid mask removed. Needs a touch up or two. Get it cleaned up & planned on hydro dipping it. Paint would look cool too. Silver or florescent yellow. Probably hydro dip it.

i ordered the same pattern tonight for the roof of the anvil body!

deciding colors has been a nightmare as there's not much real estate ON the anvil body, but I'm thinking of just doing the roof with the dip and the rest of the body with spray

Spray the entire body with some Createx candy paint (whatever color you choose), then mask out the area you want the skulls, and spray your underlying silver, white, etc details under the candy to lock it in. This is where you could do flames, stripes, etc if you like. Then do your hydro dip. Then back all that with whatever color you choose.

You could even spray the candy over the windows, then apply your window masks. In the end you'll have windows tinted the same color as your candy.
