Any information on a newer version with Spektrum DX3 and upgraded electronics like they just introduced on the DBLX 2.0?

Personally I wouldnt give someone a wooden nickle for a Spektrum radio. I mean they are ok I guess but theres better out there for the money.

The 160A Firma ESC is the same ESC they put in the Kraton 8S which is a pretty good ESC for a stock ESC. That being said the LVC setting leaves a lot to be desired. Its not very good as it tries to use some sort of "auto" detect feature which may kick in at 3.7V/C or it might kick in a 2.7V/C. Youll want to get an idea of what each auto setting will do with a given set of batteries so you know what to run it on. Theres 3 choices low/medium/high.

The motor I'm not 100% sure about, its the Firma 870kv. The Kraton 8S comes with the firma 1250kv motor which has been a really good motor so I'm assuming the 870kv Firma will be as well.

I know that there is always something better out there, but the DB PRO price range is what I am looking to spend at this time for an all inclusive package...just wondering if it is going to be upgraded with the newer electronics in the near future because I can wait for it. I’m just gradually getting back into RC’ing, the stuff I used to have many years ago you had to change out “crystals” so you and your buddy wouldn’t interfere with each other while playing. The DB PRO fits the bill for me as far as an all around package to play around in my yard and maybe some light track usage. Believe me, I would love to do a MT 410 build, but that gets expensive quickly, and this $600 is burning a hole in my pocket!

Gotchya...Well with that in mind Id say the electronics in that kit are going to be perfectly fine for ya. Just watch the LVC on that 160A Firma ESC.

Thank you sir for your advice. All of this newer stuff with LVC, STEERING CONTROL, TRACTION CONTROL, ETC. is going to be a learning curve. I’ll probably just turn it off altogether, or use it minimally.
