How did it do?
Just fine. He jumped from 6th to 2nd lol

I couldn't fully throttle the mini b bc if I did it would just slide out. Even if I turned down my throttle on the radio to like 75 percent

Do you think tires or a change in diff oil would help with slide out?

Diff oil isn't possible as it's a open diff and it will all leak out lol. Unless it's super thick 500k plus then it might. Well for the mini b. Tires are probably what I need. On the mini I'm running jcon ellipse rears, down to slicks. And stock tapper pin front tires with are slowly wearing down. Or maybe I just have too much steering? 🤷

On the TLR yes tires would help alot. But also maybe lower K diff oil and slightly thinner shock oil as this was setup for carpet. Don't wanna take the time to switch to a ball diff and set that up.

I'd start with new tires to see if that gets you straight. If not, I would reconsider that ball diff! 😎
Set up isn't hard. 😉🤣
I thought shock oil too. You gotta get some practice/set up time at the track.
Assuming you don't have turbo or boost on your radio, gearing is my next thought.
Gotta try one adjust at a time to see what you like... takes time! 🤣

Another fun but tiring race weekend. Raced 3 classes. Mini B, 4wd bug and 4wd sct. SCT was super fun although in the main I kinda fell off. Mini B went well. With me doing the burnouts last night I finally had good even traction front and rear. Now the rears are super soft now and I bet 1 more race day before they disintegrate lol. 4wd went well, especially in the A Main where I started in 6th and went all the way up to 3rd. Although did have some issues in the qualifiers. Need new rear tires on the 4wd bug. Probably could go another race day but do have another pair that I can use.

Did bring the Slash and 22 for some practice laps.

Slash: With me changing out to a smaller 3652 motor, and with the new RPM front +3mm arms, it handles alot better now, not nosing up as much when jumping and I can take corners a bit faster with that +3mm front width.

22: With the burnouts yesterday and running cycles of tire prep, traction was pretty good but still need to do more cycles. Very tight turns the car can slide out and sometimes (could be also due to a slow 17.5 lol) I don't have enough of traction, speed or both getting up to the ramp and sometimes not making it. Most of the time I have to be full pinned inorder to make some of those ramps.

4wd Bug issues:
In the qualifiers I noticed a crunching sound under braking. Took the motor out. One of the motor screws for the motor mount was getting loose. Ok, loctite. Went out again and still noticed it. Came back, figured out those 3 long screws for the actual motor holding it together were pretty loose. Tightened those up and back in business. At first I thought it was too tight or loose of a gear mesh when taking it apart for the first time but wasn't so thats good.

But other than that fun race day.

Sounds like fun! Busy tho! 👍

How did you like the new layout? I haven't had a chance to run on it yet.

Well the layout this weekend (different from last weekend) is actually pretty fun. Tricky part especially with 2wd bug is the center jumps. Most people take it double, double and double

Another race day. No SCTs or Minis at all so opted to run the 4wd today before I start the official rebuild on it tomorrow. And the rustler. This ones for you @ahr43 ;)

All went well. RIP rear buggy tires. Motor pinion came loose on me on Q2. Got back in Q3 with that grub screw loctite and torqued down good. TQed Q3 and made that bump to the A. Although in the A I went from 6th to 7th. Probably bc of the beginning, a few crashes, and also it was a longer unusual 7 minute main so probably power drop around the 5 1/2 minute mark I felt. Me and another racer was talking, with me having the .1 and him having the .2, Mine has more front flex than the .2 so that's why I'm thinking I can really push it in the corners. Wonder how it would have more flex than the b74.2. Bc the .1 has aluminum bulkhead brackets and I'm running a aluminum tower, while the stock .2 has plastic bulkheads and a CF tower.

Rustler. Went well. Haven't officially raced the rustler here and I havent driven it on this track since last summer, which was only one time. These front tires with the new running change PL inserts got alot more grippy as I ran them over with the most aggressive compound there is so yay. Might not hate PL for that anymore. But I still hate that they are so stiff and have an air gap. Overall made 2nd as the 3rd guys truck broke. Let's say I'm truly impressed with the rustler and how it did. It did better than I was thinking. Although the rusty handles alot more better than the slash. Slash has too much body roll imo. Oh yea, was competing with associated mid motor trucks. Probably T6.2 or .4. @luke66 said, they let you run the rusty in the 13.5 class? Huge power advantage. - Meh, on the straight, maybe but in the corners they all got me. Plus my throttle epa is down to bout 80 percent and I do have some negative throttle expo in there too ;)

@hood52 , they did remove one of the doubles in the center lane from last time. Used to be 3 doubles. Guess it was too hard for the 2wd's. Still too hard for them unless they're at full pin.

One of my other buddies Rob he runs TZO tires and they are hooked up! Plan on getting some for the 2wd if they cheaper than promotion or jcon. Also heard she's getting some of the new Hot Race tires coming out. Should be here in the next few weeks I hope. - 21.99 for a pair. Ain't that bad.

Wow. That's a brutal track, David. The big double after the smaller double-double looks to give lots of trouble. Love the straight-way. Your Rusty acquitted itself well, young man.

Thank's for doing that one for my Rusty. Lots of us guys rooting to see your Rusty in the "W" column.

What Mah battery pack is Rusty running for racing there? Track limitations on battery? Looks like a 2s x 6000 2S2P 100C track. Yeah that'd be a brick but would hold voltage for the duration of the event(?)

Keep on keepin on. Rusty for the win! Cheers. -AC

[ Edit: O.K., see you have a 2s x 5000 2S2P already in it. Yeah, its a 2S2P 120C 7.6v track for sure. Good choice on battery capacity. ]

Running Zeee 5200mah 80C 2s packs. Although they have terrible voltage drop issues under load I turned off the LVC so I can actually run them because I didn't felt like buying a new pair of batteries for this truck. After a 5 minute race, once I put them back on the charger they usually sit around 4.00-4.05v/cell. Not that bad bc I can run these batteries for bashing and have runtimes of about 20 minutes. 😎
