so heres my ax-10, just got a new body for it today and painted it, not good at painting but it will do. i also have some bent links in silver on the way and i'll probably do some new wheels and tires very soon. tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions. thanks.

I have no suggestions since I know nothing about crawlers, but that's a damn nice looking rig. You guys are going to end up getting me involved in crawling too dang it!!

1st thing to do, get rid of the Rock lizards, and get some Losi Rock Claws. Wrap the inside of your front wheels with lead weights, and if you havent moved your battery from the top of the rig, move it to the front axle.

thanks guys, yeah once my bent links get here they will go on and then some losi's and probably new rims at the same time. i already weighted the front down, made a HUGE difference.

hey...what kind of weights did you use...and do you know of any stores that would be local that would carry them, i really dont wanna pay for shipping and then waiting...lol...

i used some from my local hobby shop, i think they are for a pine wood derby car...i think charlie might of been someone else recommended a tire shop too.

something else, walmart might have some if not i thought about fishing weights, theyd work if you could get some big ones and double sided tape.

go to your LHS and look in the airplane section. The weights come in strips with double sided tape on em.

yeah actually at my lhs they had them in three spots, the pine cars, the planes and the trains.

Yeap, we have a small hobby shop and they carry them. If not, try Autozone or something like that. They use the stick on weights to balance chrome rims, because you wouldn't want to clamp a set of weights on a $2000 wheel.

tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions.

I have a suggestion.....sell it to me! LOL, seriously though it's a good looking rig. Congrats on the build/painting. We all have to start somewhere right? Now if I can ever get my rig I'd be all set.

^^^still dont have one? ok, i will sell you mine for $600 lol.

got my tires and wheels today, hammers and some 8-shooters.

small update, i am now running a Sidewinder ESC, a Holmes Hobby Crawlmaster motor, droop in the back and trinity springs up front. I'm really liking my suspension setup thus far as well as the versatility of the sidewinder. i also have a new Castle Creations BEC on the way and hopefully will be ordering new MIP's in the next couple weeks.

Congratulations on all the progress. You have really learned a lot about crawling and setting up a rig in a short period of time. Since you're doing so good, I might quit referring to you as "JB Weld" lol.
