Amazon has a whole bunch of LED police light kits 😃
I have one in my cart

No luck on the tranny yesterday

I do have some parts in my Amazon cart for the axles that I am pretty sure will work

This "kit" seems to have most of the parts I'll need - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C6JTWCKL/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A33RC8DUURXN61&psc=1

Front diff gear - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D7M2YW5G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A33RC8DUURXN61&psc=1

Underdrive diff gear for the rear - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D7M2YW5G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A33RC8DUURXN61&psc=1

I would still need bearings and the steering links, and I can't seem to find the right ones.

Oh and I THINK also need the hexes for the ends of the axles and I am not certain on which size I need. And the nuts to hold the wheels on, but I have seen those - I think LOL

You have Axial axle housings? This kit is a little confusing, says its universal, but also says its for the Meus nylon housings? Since you need to get all the shafts, gears, bearings, links, and wheel hexes, I think you might be better off just getting the full Meus axle set (probably cost about the same as all the individual parts). This set will have everything you need/listed, and you wont be hoping it all fits, it even has a servo horn included. Also keep in mind that the Element transmission has an 18% overdrive option included.

Yes I basically have the housings

I'd hate to waste them and the shipping it cost to get them to me

But by the time I buy everything it will be about as much as buying the Meus...

Don't know what to do

Those ones I linked to are universal... I really had to triple check

Happy anniversary brother! Hope you have an amazing day with your bride šŸ˜Ž

Nothing crazy but good for us

I did get a gift card

I have enough for the axles and wheels

And my kids got me a gift card for the hobby shop I can put towards the transmission

Just need the battery after that

Thanks

Ordered wheels and axles

Now to get the transmission and battery

I'm a little Leary on the tranny

All the ones I'm finding people are saying one of the driver shafts breaks easily. Most are replacing it with factory parts but I don't have those

Extremely upset! After complete install went to attach front driveshaft and outdrive cracked immediately upon starting to insert driveshaft screw. I was violently upset

I’m not gonna say it’s the best in the world. I love it for what it’s supposed to do, but unfortunately, like previous people have reviewed that one out drive shaft snapped on me as well. As soon as the set screw pretty much touched it which made no sense I can understand a lot of peopleā€˜s frustration spending $70 on something and then not even get to drive it and it breaks But like said in previous comments, the replacement parts are in your stock stuff.

If I had too, I'm guess this would have the parts I would need?

Dont think I would worry about the transmission. I have not heard any negative reports at all until you posted this. Most people consider this trans to be a beast. I have them in my highly modified Enduro and my Gatekeeper, both have been flawless and have taken a beating. I think you will always find negative reviews on Amazon, and probably most issues could be traced back to operator error.

I wonder if people are tightening the set screw 90° out of rotation and clamping on the thin part of that output shaft.

That's good to hear. It's pretty much the only one I can find, and, other then that issue, it gets great reviews

I'm not 100% sue what you're saying, but I bet you're probably right. People are saying the plastic of the output shaft as soon as you start to insert the screw. I am guessing they have to be doing something wrong.

Maybe when I go to install it, I'll have my buddy do that part LOL

Welcome to the Doom School of RC Building. Relax take your time, it will still be there next month, and the one after that, and the one after that... 🤣

No

No luck yesterday. Got suckered into a household related project.
Church tonight
And more projects tomorrow.
Might be able to do something tomorrow night, maybe

So I pulled everything out last nigh.

I moved the front bumper all the way forward so it would extend past the body. And I put the bigger battery tray in.

Tried figuring out the links, but the instructions weren't to scale and I couldn't figure out which one was which. And it was hard to tell where they even went

I'll try again when my brain is braining better

The manual should have the link lengths shown. Keep in mind though, that they may be a tad shorter/longer since you are not using the Element axles, but should be pretty durn close.

Yeah
I just thought the pictures would be to scale
I know a lot of manuals are
I have a ruler that does MM I can use, I just didn't have it handy
Might grab some calipers, too
Been thinking about it, just never bothered
