Awesome
Thanks everyone

Sounds like this could be an awesome project and a great learning experience

My LHS does 1/10 comps
They have an awesome outdoor course and they have an inside one as well
I haven't seen it yet because they do it at a different location and since I don't have a rig I've never checked it out

I know they go by SORCA(?) rules so I'll have to familiarize myself with those

The Enduro chassis is has the same base on almost all of their rigs, with a few bolt on changes here and there. I really like my Element crawlers. Pretty easy to work on. Amain is also a good source for element parts.

Ok
So I'm going down the Enduro rabbit hole....
Wow
So much to learn
So, what's compatible?
Like Team Associated Enduro shocks are like $85 but I see other 1/10 shocks for like half that
And, are all 1.9 wheels the same?
What about axels?
Elecronics...a whole new world
I have a Meus controller I really like for my 24s. Can I just throw a receiver in this?

A bunch of guys use the Meus controller at the Crawl Center with mixed results. I think it's good to get going with, I just hear complaints about them failing after a year of use.

I believe I have a Spektrun TX/RX I could donate along with a motor. I would just have to double check.

Edit:

I couldn't find the radio. I was building a rig a month or two ago and I sware I had two to pick from 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have a new take off motor that has seen one run and a BEC that's new if you're interested.

I also have a set of 1.9 tires. They won't win a comp but they'll get you closer to rolling.

There is another way to get a comp truck. If you're looking to just be competitive out of the box. There are smaller custom brands. If you're intent is to be serious I would look at
https://exocagedrc.com/

If you want a serious truck that is still a reasonable price.

I have a Spekrum STX2 transmitter, would need a rx.

As far as the shocks go, the TAE shocks are fantastic, but yes pricey. You can use any shocks that are 90mm long. A lot of guys are using Injoras with great results, Desert Lizard are another good option for a fair bit less than the TAE ones.

The only thing that would be best/easiest for this build sticking withElement specific parts would be the Stealth X transmission since the skid is designed for it The links would be an easy one too since they will be specific to the rig, no math involved figuring out the lengths you need.

Most axles will work, decide straight or portals.

Any 1.9" wheels, the Injoras are hard to beat for the price, good quality too. Meus makes fantastic wheels as well and in the same cost range as Injora.
Tires can get really pricey, but again, Injora and Meus to the rescue for the budget. JConcepts are amazing tires, and typically less cost than Prolines.

That would be awesome.

I am not too worried about comp, just thought it would be fun.

Really, I would be happy with a fun trail truck - there are a good amount of trials near me - that also isn't terrible on rocks.
o
The shop that I go to will let us just play around on the outdoor course for free when it isn't being used for comps so that's a good option

This weekend is crazy busy for me; we're doing a big bash for my kids birthday. PM me your details and I'll get the stuff sent out next week.

I need to build a 1/10 one of these days. But I need one to run 2.2's on. I bought these a couple years ago and need something they fit on. RC Lions had them on Amazon for $52. RC4WD sells them for $165 last I checked. These are the finest machined RC wheels I've ever seen. They must have shrunk full size wheels, because I can't figure out how else they made them so nice.

Those wheels do look great. Now I'm headed to amazon, thanks W.F.!

I have a bunch of traxxas takeoff stuff if it helps. Brushed motor and esc combos, tx and rx pairs. Also have a set of factory capra shocks, trx4 shocks, both standard and high trail. All could be modified to suit your needs.
That would be great! I definitely don't mind tinkering/adjusting
I have a friend here,...my enabler, really that could provide extra support
