Hey y'all. I have a few questions concerning the cross-compatibility of popular CMS (Chassis Mounted Servo) crawlers: TRX-4, SCX10 III, Gen 8, etc.
Questions: Can you put TRX-4 bumper mounts on a SCX10 III?
Can you put TRX-4 wheel hexes on a SCX10? (I know you probably can, but, I'd like to know)

The hexes are a little different in that they have the little extention on them that go into the portals. Whereas an scx10 has flat hexes on the back. I haven't tried putting my trx4 hexes on my scx10 but I don't think they would work unless you filed or ground the little extentions off. On my scx10 the part where the bearings sit is slightly recessed however I don't think there would be enough clearance to allow proper rotation. When I got my trx4 it had scx10 bumper mounts but I also know the square mounts could possibly fit onto an scx10. If I am correct I believe the trx4 chassis is slightly narrower than an scx10 chassis. I know someone did a lot of grinding to get the bumper mount onto the trx4. These are my observations having both trucks in hand to look at. Hope this helps

That does help a good bit! This might be asking a bit much, but do you think you could try mounting one of the TRX-4 hexes on the SCX10? And maybe the same thing with the bumper? If not that's fine, but it would be really great.
