got a charger yesterday.. its used but it works and was cheep.. its a dynamite mega 3.. so on to the questions..

anyone have the manual for this thing?? or a link to an online one??
how do i do this stuff?? i know how to charge batterys but how do i know when there done? how many amps do i charge at?? how do i know these things?? what will it not charge?? anyone have a "chargeing batterys how to" link thanks guys..

I have the charger but not the directions. One of the few gadgets I didn't keep the manual for.

whatever it will charge... i hate waiting 12 to 14 hours.. i got 2 1200mah and 1 1400mah hump.. a bunch of 7.2 sticks would like to get aa rechargeables for the tx's would it be ok to charge the ignitor on this??

The charger will charge up to 5 amps. The higher the amps the faster the battery will charge. It will also discharge a pack up to 5 amps.

The bad part about this charger is it has no peak detection only a 15 minute dial timer. The higher the charging amps the faster the battery will charge or discharge. There are two ways to do this.

First on a fast charge you will have to do some guessing as to how fast you want to charge your pack. To be safe, here are a couple of numbers. 3000-2500 ma packs, 4-5 amps. 1200-3000 ma 2-4 anps 700-1200 ma 1-4 amps.

Put the charger on for 15 minutes and pray.... OR hold the pack in your hand and stop charging when the batteries start to get a bit more then just warm. 120 -130 degrees. Sometimes more then 15 minutes is needed. Don't let the charger stop charging if more time is needed.

The second way is to use a volt meter to look for a peak. You can use a separate meter or if you look you will see there are hookups on the charger for Leeds. Hook the leads up to the battery as its charging and watch the votes. They will go up during the charging process. Close to the end you will see the volts start to drop. This in combination with the heat from the pack will tell you when the battery has peaked and is fully charged.

so i gotta stand there and watch it?? i got a volt meter. its hooked up.. so when it plateaus and starts dropping its done?? it wont hurt the batterys to charge at 4 amps?? can i charge anything on this thing?? (as long as its rechargeable of course..) ill get a peak eventually but this has to work for now..

I find 4amps kind of high for 1200mah batts. I like to stay around 1-1.2 amps on my reciever packs. That usually takes about an hour.

Eddy, I have that charger too, and I don't think it came with a manual. I have every manual for everything I have ever bought, and no manual for this puppy. I struggled with it for the longest time before I went out and bought a peak charger. I had only saved it as a backup. Thanks for the lesson on how to use this charger. Just a few years too late though, lol.

You can charge most any Nicad or NMh battery.
I gave a range for charging amps. As mentioned above you may want to start at the lower ranges given.

It was my first charger. I got it MANY years ago and it still works. I use it to discharge my revo starter battery. It doesn't have a fan in it so I took the case off and drilled a lot of holes in it to help keep it cool.

ok they charger doesn't have a user manual.. is there a link on the web of how to charge batterys?? eddy has alot of info but i want something i can add to the favorites.. i already got one for painting, and one for suspension settings.. there great to keep around
