Hey there. Long story short my vxl-3s is broken. The wire for my radio connection ripped apart. Here's the thing: only the white ripped, and the positive and negative connections are perfectly intact. I thought i couldnt soter it back together until I figured out how to take the casing off of the esc. There's a decent amount of exposed wire I can work with. If I do this, will the esc still be okay to use?

Solder and heat shrink to cover. Use the same gauge of wire (or bigger). I would definitely give it a shot if it were mine.

if i understand this right, you want to re-solder the 3 wire cable back to the board in the ESC? if yes, then yes you can. iv done it a few times in the past, it causes no issues as long as you get it soldered correctly.
Thanks... The battery connection is fine, but what I was saying is the red and black on the 3 wire cable are on fine, only the white wire is in need of fixing.

I'm gonna add if you take the case off, it's probably encased in epoxy waterproofing.

I've soldered plenty of esc and servo wires. Like mentioned heat shrink it so it can't short out.
