Bye Bye Traxxas

Due to my multiple TBI's and spinal damage from breaking my neck I have involuntary twitching, tremors, and often just flat out unexpected hand movements. I am rated 100% for PTSD through the VA with an additional 110% rating for multiple injuries. They even pay me for housebound by statute because I don't do well leaving the house. I have a service dog due to my seizure disorder and the PTSD. One of my main issues in doing anything tedious or finite is if I can't do some easy or simple task it triggers my PTSD and I go into hulk smash mode. So I went with a couple Traxxas rigs just to keep things simple and easy. I used to do very involved N scale train layouts and HO car racing but now its RC and Scalextric 1/32 scale because they work better with my paint shaker hands.
Ok, that makes sense then. You gotta do what works best. I hope you can someday find relief for the PTSD. I don't even know what that's like, so I can't even imagine how hard it is dealing with that. I sincerely thank you for what you've sacrificed for this great country of ours, and I wish you the best on your RC journey. We're here if you need anything at all bro. Hang in there.

You see no anything player! 😅
Now come on bro. If you think the SCX24 hardware is bad, wait til I get up the nerve to assemble these!

Yup. 32 scale. The trailer has 33 LED's that are the size of a mouse turd. Each requires the individual wires to be routed through the trailer (somehow) and soldered to a PCB. The trailer has links and two shocks per wheel, so 8 shocks in total, with hinge pins going through each assembly, with e-clips the size of a BB holding each end of the pin. Like 16 total IIRC. And that is just the suspension on the trailer. It is BY FAR the most challenging RC kit on the entire planet. And I don't know if I will ever get up the nerve to build it, but I really want to.

Here is an inspirational video.

I seriously don’t know how you do it brother.. We’ve had convos before about it-just cutting LM on 1/8 scale lids has me crosseyed QUICK.. I’m seriously close to building a lightbox, just to see if it’ll help.. 😅

My days working with and custom building 1:160 scale vehicles makes the SCX24 stuff rather easy. But that was back 10 years ago the last time I messed with that stuff. But man, I hate e-clips, especially tiny ones. That is what is holding me back on this one.
