And a few videos for you all to enjoy

Also my son received a deadbolt for Christmas. We started work in that tonight with putting in my old beadlocks, the modified stock shocks, lowering the body a bit, and flipping the rear towers. I might start a build thread for his.

Went to The Crawl Space indoor comp last night. There were some pretty good trucks there.

I’ll post a video once I get that done.

Also I picked up some crawler innovations foams so I stop rolling over on the side wall

Noticed my front end was felling pretty sloppy tonight at the comp. So I picked up some hot Racing brass knuckles. I’ll get them installed this weekend and hopefully it tightens things up. Also in today’s mail call for the 1/10 Rally order, the link set for my sons deadbolt arrived.

My son and I also made it out for an adventure the other day before he had to go back to school. Which later led to hacking up the body, upgrading the servo and upgrading the front shock mounts

Servo winch and knuckles installed.

Went with the Powershift PST-125 servo winch. Seems to be one of the best bang for the buck winches out there. Pretty happy with it. I just need to wait for the servo mount parts tree get here so I can properly mount it and run the line through the guides. I have it plugged into one of the AUX channels on the receiver and programmed to operate off the transmitter. I need to figure out the mixing functions for better control when using the throttle and winch at the same time.

Also installed the Hot Racing Brass Knuckles tonight. Pretty impressed with the added weight and winder steering angle. Even though I’ve only had it out on the shake down rocks in the backyard.

Pretty happy with how far along this thing has come especially in the performance aspect. I did manage to break the radio box cover tonight reassembling it. Hopefully I can get the new one here before the comp on Friday. Plus Lil Yeti can really use a bath.

All buttoned up.

Alright we’re all caught up. I hope you enjoyed that. Sorry if it seemed like I was spam posting there. Just trying to copy over everything from another forum. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also any feedback is great too. I’m not done with this build yet and like I stated in my OP I’ll be sharing the many adventures we go on.

Lol.....I woke up this morning ,an there was over 50 new post ,I think that it was a record!.....

I think scalers are more addictive mod wise than any other form of RC. Nice rigs man.

Thanks. Yeah they are a ton of fun. I’ll be doing another one but going for a more true scale appearance rather than “if the wraiths can do it so can I” performance.

We did some work on my sons Deadbolt tonight. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate links. Figured out a pretty easy method with using a drill and sticking the end in the chuck. Trimmed the body up so it was flush with the bottom and would stop getting hung up. We have a light kit to install as well but we will get to that another day.

Very nice! Makes me want to get out there with mine. Once I’m able to walk better on uneven ground I’ll be out there with mine for sure.

So this happened:

Broke the axle housing at last weeks crawl comp. At least it wasn’t during a run and it was just tooling around on the course.

However, it resulted into a goodie box that arrived today:

Xtra speed metal housings.
Fast Eddy bearings
Hot Racing c hubs
SSD Rear Lockouts
STRC Aluminum Lower Shock/Link Mounts

So far I have everything for the front put together minus the lower shock mounts. I need to pick up some hardware for those. I’ll post pics of the completed project before tomorrow nights comp.

Axle housings are rebuilt. Here they are installed. Kind of a pain to do. Mainly because of the grease and grime. Had to do some slight grinding to get things to fit properly. Nothing major. These added a ton of weight down low.

We took both trucks to the Friday night comp. We broke somethings which ended up with new axle shafts for me and a new servo horn for my son. Regardless though. We had a ton of fun, and after everything was fixed both trucks performed exceptionally well.

Had fun at the Friday Night Crawl Comp tonight. Only managed to break off a d ring and a headlight cover. I am going to swap out my spur gear for a metal one this week before next weeks comp. other than that, the truck has been running like a beast.
