i like that generation of Toyota truck, but would have preferred a stock body. not into the exo cage ether. but i do like the looks of the red one with chrome wheels.

That does look really good! Maybe Team Associated could learn a thing or 2 from Axial... clipless body and not ripping off a design from an rc truck that was popular 15-20 years ago.

Now if Axial could just ditch Spektrum!

I NEED ONE!!!!! I wish RC companies would make more old Toyota stuff, like FJ40s, FJ55s, stuff like that. I know fms makes some, but it would be cool if other brands did the same thing.

Toyota has a reputation of being very difficult to work with when it comes to licensing. that's why it's not done more.

I think you mean Axial Honcho 2.0. Which existed before Vaterra was ever a thing.

The 2.0 chassis came out well into Vaterra's run. It released in around 2017, Vaterra launched around 2013.

Maybe you're thinking the SCX10 Trail Honcho RTR from 2010?

Either way HH has it all to pick from now.

Ah, I gotcha. Wonder if this is lexan or a hard body? If it's lexan you can back with a darker color to prevent it, but then if you see the underside, it's not red anymore. Hard body shouldn't have that issue to begin with. Also, it's mass produced, so I doubt they'll ever add that step due to cost and time.

Wish it was the proline sr5 body. I wanted one but the more I look the rc4wd tf2 sr5 will fit a delorean better.

Also the cool led headlights should be warm white for s era correct candescent look.
