looks to be a good build, get on it! lol. does it use the stock uppers?

Black Widow build cont...
Started with custom uppers but soon realized that the stock Axial links would work aswell..Had to extend them a bit due to the driveshaft dropping below my lowers.. I think it was an extra 1/8" extended on each upper link..

looks like you already have em mounted in good places to me....

They look just fine to me too. Keep your wiring well away from the spur/pinion gears and the driveshafts though. I had a nasty experience at a comp once when my wiring broke loose and fouled my spur. They call those things on gears 'teeth' for a reason LOL

OK....I can do no more...lol actually...waiting for my order of the usual aluminum up-grades. ( knuckles..c-Hubs..lockOuts ) then I think she'll be done.. Bought a new bug body for it but still trying to come up with a paint scheme.... ANY IDEAS...?

Looks pretty darned sweet with it's lid on. I do think it definitely rides slightly high though. Dropping a bit of ride height will improve your CoG a lot. Other than that looks good man :)

Team LERK
Thanks guys... It kinda sucks now because....I guess the saying is true...
Build another rig and she'll do better than your comp..
This is my first comp rig that I've been pretty successful for a rookie...Although I have a team mate that has really taught me alot from his 5yrs of experience..
If I wanted too....I could stand away from the course and he can get me through just by his directions....lol lol

Well....took the BlackWidow out to Utika/Spicer this past SunDay and....
she ROCKED !!
I can even go so far as to say.... she took over top spot as my COMP Rig now. It handled GREAT and I was hella happy with its performance. I'm even thinking about rebuilding my og crawler onto another BlackWidow chassis.
I Totaly forgot about taking pics but next time...:D

glad it did well for you! it is a pretty good shafty chassis imo. and ya, pics next time or else! ;)

so what do you think...? Get another Widow chassis or do you know of one that is similar in style...? I like the Axial style...open like the Widow...open

My other comp rig is on a CKRC Rockstar chassis but honostly...I love the style but it is weak as hell. I have bent it at least 3 times...its too thin and they put to many artistic cuts in it...

I've had the rockstar too and it was ok, i personally would suggest looking at other chassis that arent used by everyone else just for a nice variety. the new mayhem chassis is a real nice shafty chassis imo. just dont be afraid to try a chassis that hasnt been shown everywhere by media. abadk9420 uses a chassis that is not well known at all on a shafty and its real nice and does great imo. Krawler Hobbies also has a new shafty chassis thats real nice.
