Been gone for a while but now I’m back. How’s everyone been?

I am still stuck on my Kyoshos. I just bought a bunch of parts for an Optima Mid and a Noble NB4+ radio. I'm getting closer to track testing.

I bought a Mad Wagon that I'm starting to collect parts for too.

Summer is a lot of gardening and fixing... doing stuff I'd rather not do during winter. Car repairs, water damaged wall and I got our green house opened this year.

Plants are doing very well so far! 🤞

Whats about you? How has your summer been? Lots of RCing I hope! 😎

Very nice. So you’re a gardener. My wife has a green thumb too. Not me. I’m all thumbs. But I do love a good salad 😄 My kids have been using their RC’s a lot over the summer. All three of them are heavily into the hobby, which makes me happy. I haven’t had much free time so far this year. We just bought a new house and there
is an endless list of things to work on and fix and clean up. I’m sure you know all about this. So that has had me busy for the last few months.

I’m ready to start driving my RC truck regularly again. However, my youngest son has been driving it since spring time and pretty much claimed it. I can’t blame him. It’s an awesome truck. So I’m thinking of getting myself something new and letting him just keep it. When they are driving their RC’s , they all get along perfectly with no bickering and fighting. That alone is worth it to me. I’ll have to shop around for a new RC truck soon.

Lol! My to do list is so long I call it my list of 'to don'ts' 🤷‍♀️ 🤣

Lots of stuff to do when you buy a home, move... I don't ever want to do that again!

Sounds like you found a winner with the RCs! I'm glad you're getting to enjoy them even when you're not driving. 😎

Any thoughts on a new RC?

I still think crawlers for the winter would be fun. 👍

My son has a small Axial crawler and talks about getting another one. Crawlers don’t really appeal to me. I seem to be attracted to 1/10 and 1/8 scale, stadium trucks, monster trucks and truggies. I’ll probably go the RTR route again this time and maybe do a full build further down the road, but not right now. We’ve had great luck with Traxxas vehicles. They seem to be built well. But their batteries and charges suck. So there will be none of that. I haven’t really looked around. Maybe something from Arrma or Traxxas and do some basic upgrades . I have batteries and chargers this time around so I just need the vehicle and upgrades. I’d like to keep everything under $800 if possible. But I feel like I’ve said this before and went well beyond 😂

Thanks , man. I’m very happy to be back in the world of RC. I’m gonna get myself a new RC truck in the near future. Just trying to get caught up on the forums. How’s everything with you?

Gotcha. I just lost an auction on fleabay... one less rc to blow $$$ and time on! 🤣

I need ro get my fleet running again. Sooo much stuff to do! Brake job waiting today. Its hard to find time where I won't be interupted and I'm not already exhausted.

The fall will be busy with harvest if everything grows to plan...
maybe I should buy an RTR! 🤔🤣

Haha , maybe you should! I just came across the Traxxas Mini Maxx. I’m not sure something that’s small will have the ground clearance I’m looking for. But it sure does look cool.

I have to look at some reviews on YouTube about quality RTR’s. Let’s see what I can find for $800.
