Help,
I've attached a photo of two batteries. The small battery came with my Redcat Ridgerunner with the
As you can see from the photo the I have it plugged into a multi cord adapter to charge but the red and black are switched around. So to charge this battery do I need to switch the wires on the battery or the cord adapter. And if I do then it would be wrong for when it's plugged into the car. And if it needs switched those it need switched on the 3S battery? I'm so confused, don't want to burn up $40 batteries.. Would like to run the 3S battery in my Ridgerunner, is there a better way to do this that I'm missing. Help, can't afford to burn a battery.

Does your multi cable have a large Tamiya connector as well? If so you can get a mini to large adapter cheap on Amazon, that will also flip the polarity. The wiring standards for mini vs large Tamiya connectors had the +/- in opposite sides of the connector (square and rounded). Do not change your battery connector, as it is correct for a mini and matches the ESC in your Redcat.

If you look closely at the adapters, you'll see the red wire goes from the rounded side on the mini connector to the square side on the large connector.

Likely it needs to be corrected. + is red and - is black. If you have doubts check it with a volt meter.

I would just switch everything to deans or another one can call it a day.

Note the battery technology is different so they have different charging profiles. Li-Ion vs LiPo.
