New release from Axial this week that I believe is safe to say nobody saw coming: The SCX30 1/30 SOLID AXLE sub-micro crawler.

Comes in both Jeep and Bronco flavors.

My fingers and soul hurt looking at the chassis pics and imagining how tiny the hardware and bearings must be. BUT...this could be really fun. My head goes straight to 3D printed terrain options.

There seems to be a real push to go smaller. My guess is to get the entry price down as low as possible for new comers.

It seems well bundled with the Lipo and charger VS using like AAA's or something.

I could see using this at my desk as I find 1/24 too big imo; it's hard to find things to challenge it with. But that is an extremely limited use case for me. Personally, I am finding anything below 1:18 loses my interest.

When are companies going to stop putting modern Bronco bodies on their solid axle rigs and calling it scale? Not trying to be a negative Nancy here, but give me a solid rear axle and independent front suspension for crying out loud!

Asscociated will be the one to do tgat.

Naw. I'm getting along just fine with the 1/24 scale. It's enough of a struggle to wrench upgrades on those. I had thought I wanted a micro t or b but actually looking at them in the hobby store I'm pretty sure not. This would be a similar size I expect.

Course a sale could temp me. Or the wintertime blues. But again, the struggle to fix these minute vehicles when they break...!! 😤And break they do...
