I am restoring my moms arrma typhon, and she is curious if there is a good way to make her arrma typhoon 6s a little bit taller so that she can go over more terrain.

You can use the spring / preload adjuster on the shocks, you can move it down which will stiffen up the shocks or make it more springy, but will raise the ride height a bit.

Or you can also adjust the shock placement on the shock tower. I think stock is in the middle. You can put it on the most outside hole which can also raise the ride height, but not alot.

I was going to say you can also adjust the shock placement on the lower arm but referencing pictures there's only 1 location for the lower arm so that sadly can't be adjusted unless there's after market lower arms with more adjustability. Bigger tires or taller tires would be the most effective on what 332 said

The stock Arrma Typhon Katar B tires are 4.6" tall. The Katar T tires are 5.75" tall. That would net a over 1/2" ground clearance. And adjusting the shocks & placement is free. But bigger tires are an option & stock gearing normally is fine.

I’m running Mojave arms and driveshafts, stock shocks with Kraton springs. Kraton hubs and wheel hexes. It’s a extra wide Truggified Typhon 6s

To me it looks tall enough to go over some obstacles

For reference my race buggy (10th scale) is running 15mm ride height and I only limit it for track use and driving only. If I bash it I'll break it in sure lol.

Perfect! Is the chassis able to contact the ground?
Absolutely!! It’s pretty dialed! I do however need to loosen the shock collars a bit as it has a tad of a bounce on landings. Currently trying some new shock oil in my “stock Kraton xl”. Hoping it’s a bit better than what it was!

Here is a vid of it jumping

I'm assuming by your question your mom's Typhon is 4s. The answer is yes you can up it to 6s if you change out your ESC. A 4s truck being run on 6s will always have issues. My advice is leave it 4s.

OP is asking about a Typhon 6S and ground clearance. ;)
Are those 2.8" wheels?

It would seem to be a pretty straight forward build with the longer arms/driveshafts (reminds me of almost exactly a Tekno MT410 platform), but do have a build thread somewhere on the Arrma forum?
