Always wanted a 357 Smith & Wesson. Like the revolver thing. Kinda pricey though.

Hope you carried it with both hands.🤣
The S&W magnum 357 is a sweet revolver for sure. Old school nice choice.. 👍

I kinda like guns too. Last time I counted I had...well... a lot.

9mm is a great caliber for conceal carry. Easy to conceal a large round count and effective enough. I'd prefer to carry something in 45acp or 10mm but that drastically increases the weight, lowers round count, and is typically harder to conceal.

12g is what my wife uses for home defense when I'm at work. I feel sorry for anyone who tries something with her. She's a great shot.

I do have a few 556 platforms but prefer 7.62x39 for a midsized caliber. I'll take an AK or SKS over an AR any day but to each their own. All personal preference really.

I'm relieved to see so many members who are into guns. With the way the world is going, we all should be avid users.
I read an article in Soldier of Fortune, I was around 16 or so. It said that a proper tool kit for survival should include a firearm. That's all it took. 1st firearm I bought was a Rougher mini14. Been hooked ever since.

I never have to worry about ballistics matching with my wrist rocket, but reloading is a little slow. 🤣
Hell yeah man. The good Ole wrist rocket. Man I loved haven one as a kid... nice buddy 👍👍

I really enjoy shooting the mini 14. That was one of my first semi auto's. I think I watched too many episodes of The A Team as a kid.

I have (more than) a few rimfires myself, and I have always shot way more of that than center-fire. Deer hunting in Texas (97% private land) isn't as economically feasible as it was in Colorado (my last duty station in the USAF), so my centerfire accumulation has waned considerably.

The last time I hunted deer here, about 4 years ago on a friend's place, I used my suppressed SBR in .300 AAC (shooting super-sonics). Texas white-tails are puny. :)
Some of the rimfire collection.

It was a gift for my late Stepfather a few years ago before I inherited it. I don't think it's ever been fired. I'm planning to change that soon. I'm not going to lie, I'm more excited to shoot the old Winchester 62A (that I also inherited) above it, but I'm sure both will be fun.

I own both and IMO, the Henry is more fun. But I am kinda partial to lever guns.

Good to know. I really prefer shooting suppressed these days, so the three bottom ones, and mainly THE bottom one gets the most trigger time. Tempted to have the Henry chopped and threaded for my can. LOL

I used to shoot a wrist rocket when I was a kid also.

Just wondering if anyone else does the same and if so, what do you carry? Is it OK to post pictures of such material here? I'd be happy to share and would love to see others pictures if doing so doesn't violate any rules of the forum. Hopefully a moderator will speak up here.

There are several threads on firearm, so I wouldn't worry about that, but of course it's a family forum for the most part. If you do a search you will see lots of posts.

As a Marine we of course use the M16 and M4 rifles, and I have an AR, but I actually prefer my modded out AK-47. It’s very accurate with more muscle than the 5.56. People say it’s a garbage inaccurate rifle, sure if you have the damn wood furniture on it of course. The factory iron sights are tough to get used to, but have accurate yard increment adjustments(if you have time to adjust while you’re being shot at). I have a red dot and a 3x magnifier on mine with the Texas weapons systems (TWS) dog leg rail, it’s a very good rifle. There’s no problem with shooting beer cans way out there. The 7.62 is what body armor is built to withstand, that says a lot. Skulls and organs are afraid of the 7.62.

It has a folding stock apparatus on it, but I may go away from that in the future. There’s stocks out there that I like a little more these days.
