Maybe I do....... :ponder2:

Nice choice on the yellow highlights. :first_place:
Where did you get the yellow coupler for the muffler? I haven't been able to find one.

Factory Duratrax part. Also check Venom Racing, they off several colors for them.

Are exhaust couplers universal size? I have a yellow one I don't need. ~1/2" ID; ~3/4" OD; ~1.5" long.

No, I've seen 3 different versions so far. That appears to be a small block version, at least smaller than this one and the one on my Savage.

GS Racing makes a variety of colored parts as well. May want to check into those.

Yeah, I kinda had a feeling it was a .12-.15 coupler

do you or don't you!?!

Don't get your panties in a wad, I still have it :p: I'm looking for a Losi 454 for it. This is going to be one I build how I want, not just the cheapest way to a nice truck.(Hint : this means it'll take longer to complete than the Warhead!)

Oh God, hey guys, the next Rolex is here. Let's Await Randy's three year build.

LMAO!!! I used to use wire spools as stands as well!!!

"That appears to be a small block version"

I have a red 1/10 coupler on the exhaust on my LST2 and it fits just fine, a little snug getting it on but it's all good and I haven't had any problems with it.:D

No, they actually have them for 1/10 or 1/8, but I have a 1/10 on my LST2 and it fits no problem......a little bit of elbow grease getting it on, but with 2 Dynamite Thermal Grip Coupler Ties holding it in place, I haven't had any problems with it since I put it on !;)

It's ALIVE!!!

Well boys and girls, I got off work early today and it was a nice mid -60s temp but storms are coming. A quick check of the weather radar reveals that there should be time for a tank of fuel to be burnt. It's time to fire up the Warhead!

I first had to reinstall the batteries and do quick test of the electronics, all GOOD here. On a side note though, I was originally going to swap the radio for my XP3D but thoughts of selling this truck made me leave the stock stuff on it. The transmitter sucks, plain and simple. Ok, time to pour in some new fuel and I mean brand new you can't buy it yet fuel. That's another topic though. Out to the drive way we go.

I plug the exhaust and crank it over few times watching for the fuel to get to the carb. Put the igniter on and crank again. Within a few turns it fires up only to die a few seconds later. This where the radio really sucks, the trim is NOT proportional. It is full trim throttle, neutral or full trim brake :(. So I work the throttle myself and crank it again. It fires right back up! :)

I was able to run 1/2 the tank maintaining temps around 215 - 220. I had to stop then to talk with a couple of guys that were interested in getting into the hobby. They happened to drive by seeing/hearing my truck and wanted some general info. After 15min or so they took off so I went back to my truck to run the other 1/2 tank. I was pleased by it starting right back up with no problem and ran the fuel out, again temps never got over 225. The first tank of break-in is done!

The weather is supposed to be cruddy for few days, so I don't know how soon I'll get the second tank ran through it. I will try to get a vid soon though.

So to recap,I was off work early, I got to talk r/cs for while and run an easy break-in tank through my truck too. Today was a good day! :)

Awesome Randy! I absolutely love the first couple tanks through a brand new mill. I find it very satisfying... Lectro doesn't give me that satisfaction.

Sounds awesome Randy! I'm so afraid I'm going to miss that satisfaction when you get the engine to turn over and can just smell the Nitro burning. But I'm going all electric now. Hopefully...

Now then, put the Warhead down, no one cares about it. i'm waiting for the Aftershock build up. :)
