Redcat Sandstorm build project

This is my first time building an Rc car and posting updates about it, so bare with me please. I got a redcat sandstorm at a swap meet in Portland Oregon for $40 and has been sitting on the shelf for almost a year having nothing done on it. One day I randomly thought it would be cool to make a sand drag buggy. The thing is, I don't have much time and money to do it all at once while paying for parts for my 1987 Ford pickup, so it might take a long time to complete this project. I took off all of the body panels and changed the tires, but I will build a better cage out of aluminum and get better electronics, etc. I will post updates throughout the build.

It also came with a battery but no radio. A lot of people think that it was not a good call to get it, but I will prove them wrong.

Hmmm. well most drag cars are 2WD so I guess yes? More weight in the rear is what I seen for drag. If I'm not wrong.

for sand drags 4wd should be better IMO.

Does anyone know where I can get wider suspension arms? I have looked around a bit but can find many.
