Had a buddy over yesterday (the one that got me into RC and specifically 1/24 crawlers)
He has almost finished his new build - the King, and I had just got some paint on my obstacles, so we were playing around bit.
Once it's done I'll post some details on the King; it's awesome

The section on the bottom was the first thing I ever built. (You can kinda see how there are 2 sections here, there a divide about the middle of the whole thing) It was reasonably challenging for a stock car and inexperienced driver. The area closest to the bottom is just a basic crawling area testing articulation and clearance. The top part of that piece is isn't very steep but it does challenge climbing a little and there are multiple lies you can take.

The other half is skull mountains. I got the idea for this early last October and hit up dollar tree. Many different lines to take and can be challenging.

Another angle of the two pieces connected

This 4 piece concoction is my latest creation. My plan is to add some Velcro to the back of the boxes to keep them together better. Right now this is 3 sided and the plain box sits up against a wall. I don't have a ton of room to put everything out. If I ever get more space, maybe I'll add somethign to the 4th side.
The far left piece is pretty challenging. There are a few different lines you can try.

The one at the bottom here isn't too hard to climb, but making that turn is tricky.

The one on the right is very difficult. I have only made it up the sticks a few times, and the left part is doable but pretty challenging.

Most things are made form Amazon boxes, some foam pieces, packaging materials and spray foam. Everything is covered in plaster cloth. Brown and white spray paint from WalMart finished it off.

I will cover teh visible pieces of the Amazon box with more plaster cloth, just have to pick some up.

Too cool! It looks like a tosted marshmallow crawler course. 😜 I like that it's modular, been wanting to make a small scale indoor crawling course for a couple of years now, but life keeps kicking me in the crotch. I love seeing other folks building theirs. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks all. I had to go modular as I simply don't have any place to keep anything set up. I barely have room to store them LOL

They have progressed over time. I get inspired to build a piece, start it. By the time it's built, it comes out a little different than I planned. Then when I put the plaster cloth over it, I end up changing it a bit more. By the time paint is going on, I have probably changed my idea one or two more times.

I have a lot of hours into what you see there. Not too much money, but a small chunk.

It will keep me busy over this upcoming winter
