Ok all.
I am looking at doing a custom build.
Can't give too much detail as I want to keep it under my hat for now.
BUT, I want it my front end to be a Deadbolt front end. I now most people lengthen the front end, but I have an idea.
Trying to find the perfect chassis to start off with.
A lot say they work with the deadbolt, but look like the front end is too long for the regular Deadbolt front end length.

I am looking at these tow currently, but also would like suggestions/recommendation's of others.

Or the RampCrab Carbon Fiber Chassis Kit for SCX24, 7° Angled Skid

I like the angled skid on the second one. But I like the looks of the first one better, as I could run it like that without a body. The second would I would definitely want a body, and I would probably end up having to get one 3d printed for what I want

Look at LGRP. Pricey stuff, but they have some killer looking products. I really want to build one of these.

Mofo has this for the Deadbolt front links.

I found a file and 3d printed it. I have been real happy, I had to make my own battery tray and other things.
Just about any chassis you get can be made to work with deadbolt front links.
For me it’s always been the body that determined link length

Thanks. Those are definitley more than I want to spend and come with more tahn I want. I really want just the frame and maybe a skid plate. I have my own ideas for link length and such

They look great though

Then as mentioned, look around Etsy. There are a lot of chassis designs for sale on there. Meus is another brand to check out.

So I did decide on a chassis. I went ahead and oredered the SCX24 LCG Chassis Carbon Fiber Chassis Frame Kit

I ordered a few other parts too, to start my build.

I'll start a build thread once it actually gets going.

I hate how long it takes to get parts from Injora LOL

I am going with an unusual wheelbase set up I haven't seen tried. Want to see how it goes.

Will be my first ever build - I have only been in the hobby for a year.

I am going to start by buying the parts I absolutely NEED, then use remaining factory parts form other cars I have already upgraded, to just get it built. Then I will replace the factory parts with the rest I need/want.

I'm currently trying to figure out adding a 2 speed transmission to my current SCX24 or just building one with a 2 speed (eventually). That chassis looks like it'll work great!
This skid adapts the fcx18 transmission to the scx24. I haven't printed one yet but I was thinking of this same thing. I can always print you a couple to try!

Nice!
I found a 2 speed transmission on eBay: https://ebay.us/m/450ihl
Trying to dig into the gearing in this. The FCX18 transmission is pretty solid :)
I don't understand how that is a 2 speed transmission. There isn't even a shift rod sticking out or a place to mount a shift servo. I think that is a scam, and looks like all it does it doubles up the main gear in the transmission. Unless I am missing something.

This however, is an actual 2 speed trans for the SCX24.

Yea, it looked off to me too actually, when I started looking at the setup more closely. I've heard good things about that RCAWD one though!

That looks exactly like the fms trans. Will that even bolt into the scx24 skid?
I see it now, there is an adapter plate. Hell yeah.

That is a BIG motor in the scx24. I have one in there now so I would know. It will hit the LVC if the wheels bind up. Well, I know what I need to build soon.
What about an IFS kit for the scx24? Seen one around?

Yup. It is made for the SCX24.
Yea just watch that vid. $72! I could try that. Not as cool as just getting a second 1/24, but would be fun out outfit our current one ;)
