Am curious what kind of fun stuff yall have put together for non 3d printed crawler obstacles. Just got done with a bridge. Quick, easy , and 5 in wide fir 18/24 scale. Scrap wood, paracord, and a staple gun gets it done.

i used pool noodles, boxes, plaster cloth and spray foam to start mine out, i added any planks i could find to make roads with

that bridge you built is awesome!! can't wait to see more of it

Recently added a bridge to my WIP course. I originally intended on suspending it but ended up using 2 dowel rods as a base and making it an inclined bridge to add more elevation changes to the course.

god ol durability test after the performance test, love it. man you're making it so hard not to grab one of these guys. i think I'm grabbing one in 2 weeks, havent worked much this week its super slow so finances wont let me score one sooner lol,

Found these mini "pallets" at dollar tree that will be incorporated into my "mini crawler course in a box" eventually. Probably some form of a bridge. Guessing these are some form of drink coaster. They were with true pallet looking minis in the craft section

I did this over the weekend. One Harbor Freight canvas drop cloth (I cut mine down to 4' x 4'), and two rolls of foil tape laid in perpendicular fashion. Form it however you want, and when you're done with play time, just flatten it out and fold it up and put it away. This is for the SCX30, and I've heard with three layers of tape, it can be used the the SCX24.

Had to be as I'm limited on room for something indoors. If we had a full size basement, I may have done a table top course. But being able to setup and take it down, and change it up easily is nice for sure. I think total cost was about $25 or so.

LOL, I took a short 10 year break from RC. 😁 No mistakes IMHO, everything is a learning process. Some guy on Reddit & Fakebook did this and it took off like wildfire. I do hear that over time the foil tape will eventually break down, and you'll need to add to it. But that's easy enough to do. Or just replace it if need be.

Another guy did a thrift store suitcase and spray foam, came out awesome too.

I knew a guy that had a bookshelf with a huge framed picture making up the top of it. It was a photo of an old steam train engine. He grabbed the top of the frame and pulled on it and the picture tipped forward as legs rotated out and down from the sides. It was a small train layout. I would have never known it was there.
