i am needing frame rails for a slow progressing project. I'm using the remnants of my bucdies sons 1/12 scale WLtoys yeti copy that was run over and trashed. Any suggestions? for reference in my pics, thats 2.2 max wheels, and 8th scale N demon shell, body and wheels are for mockup and designing the truck. I'm wanting a pair of lower priced metal rails in a smaller scale than the standard big 1/10 like scx10, trx4...I am clueless and have no crawler experiences nor very informed.

Maybe 1/16 or 1/12 frame rails. You can also go to a home improvment store and look at aluminum channel.

Something like this work for you? Reworked 1/2in aluminum angle used for the frame on my R4E dragster, back 2009. Home Depot purchase, then onto the drill press for a bit of lightening. As I recall, used the thicker 1/8in for the frame rails and thinner 1/16in for radio, battery and ESC mounts. Cheers. AC
