Hi, I've a question,
If I have a four link suspension setup, there shouldn't be any side to side play should there.?
And if there is, what's causing it.?
It's just four link, no panhard link, the only thing I can think of causing it is the ballends having play in them, everything is tight, ie: all the mounts, bolts and fittings... 🙄
It's driving me nuts as I just can't figure out the issue, the play just lowers the quality and handling of the whole project.. :(

What skid are you running? Are the links coming close together on the bottom, like a triangle, or are they spaced apart? That's one part of the issue. Second is play in the links. Side to side play varies; longer links with less triangular taper on the skid and upper mounts means more play.

It doesn't really matter much on the trail

Proper 4 link should be able to do this, meaning all the weight is on the side and the chassis remains even on above the axles. No shifting. Now for the truck to actually sit sideways and not roll over, that's just us showing off.

I'm gonna try this..!! 🤪

Too technical for me 😂🤣 It's a Vanquish H10 Optic if this helps
triangulated (according to a google image search). typically those don't have a lot of side play unless the rod ends are janky/worn out

How much play are we talking about? Moving 1" side to side is a major issue, 1/4" or less it's very minimal
Not that much tbh, I'd say around 1/8" play, what concerned me was this H10 has more slop/play than all my other Vanquish's, and my TRX4 HighTrail has practically no play, I've always though Vanquish was higher quality than Traxxas but this time that's not the case.. 😂 😎
I may buy some Traxxas ball ends and see if that tightens it up
