coyote breaking links?

has anyone broken any of the link ends? I have broken the same one 3 times (no, not repairing and breaking). Not a big deal and I don't think the car is junk (although they could have used one piece titanium links and ends with bearings).
I have head the Traxxas link ends are better. Has anyone had this issue or has suggestions?

Are you breaking them under normal driving while getting bound up, or during tumbles?
