Heres something I've wanted to do for awhile. I have a nos street force gp and tons of parts I've collected over the years, including brand new engines and bodies. I would like another mint condition street force though but not stock. I figure its time to put some of these rare option parts to good use. Here is street force i bought off ebay recently. Motor is locked and may have internal damage. Chassis is bent, however overall it doesn't look like it had much use based on the bottom of the chassis.

All parts laid out so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

Starting with the ultra rare optional 3.2mm aluminum chassis

Ultra rare sfgp2 suspension conversion kit, along with the even rarer optional aluminum c hubs

Brand new old stock velocity engine with optional cooling head, Also I'm not sure i will install it since this model will never see use, but i have the optional slide valve carburetor offered for this model back in 2002

Optional graphite radio tray set and optional graphite shock towers

Nos fuel tank which was quite difficult to source. I would love to find a gp2 fuel tank but no luck yet.

Will rebuild trans and ball diffs with all new parts. Would love to find aluminum rs4 belt pulleys but i havnt seen one in decades.

I'm going to do the optional taller gearing set for higher speed. Since the original gp2 clocked in around 50mph back in 2001

Then top it off with a brand new body set i aquired and some optional wheels from 2001 with some vintage hpi tires

it shows that you have a passion for this hobby ... I love seeing all those bagged spare parts ready to be mounted. good job with your restoration.đź‘Ť

I did something similar with an Edam Spirit 1/10 RTR bought on ebay and over the years I have found and recovered some options and many original spare parts. as a nitro rc its not bad at all. I don't remember if you've seen any photos.

Update: rebuilt front ball diff, with all nos parts and got the aluminum hubs fitted. Still looking for the aluminum rs4 belt pulleys for this build. May have to purchase a heavily modded original rs4 nitro one day to get them.

front graphite shock tower installed with the gp2 arms

Now waiting on some parts from italy to show up but i have enough parts to put the rear end together i think. Time will tell

Last update until more parts arrive from italy. Its coming together, i have some more stuff to find and may experiment with some other aluminum hpi rs4 parts fitment to this duratrax. It is afterall a copy of a hpi rs4 so as long as i can find some parts i should have success fitting them to this model

What can I say... a nice Nitro Rc seems to come out!:thumbs-up: ;)
I can't wait to start assembling the CD3 Pro kit. I am still waiting for the new motor and servos.

I look forward to seeing your cd3 build!

I hope soon, but unfortunately I have little time now. Definitely this summer, when I am on vacation I will start the assembly....

Really cool Nitro Rc!:thumbs-up: unfortunately I have yet to start assembling the CD3 pro kit... I hope to complete it soon!

Still missing a few option parts. More progress too come. I've never seen another street force built with this many option parts

Aluminum Ofna/Colt pulleys fit in place of the plastic ones
The colt pulleys are what i used. I haven't put the other small pulleys in yet because I'm missing the aluminum center support they ride on. The robinson racing pulleys for the rs4 also fit
