My wife and I don't feel it's necessary to ask for permission to buy anything. Luckily, we make a decent income and neither of us are really frivolous spenders.

I'm very much a frivolous spender but luckily she isnt and we both have good incomes and no kids so money isnt usually our hang up. Pets on the other hand we will fight about at least once or twice a week lol

Mrs. Doom is not a big spender, but she is very supportive of my hobby, I tend to spend more, but I also self regulate. I feel guilty making big purchases. I usually just like to make sure there are no major upcoming expenses before I buy something big. I tease about getting permission, but she has rarely vetoed anything.

$1100 is a steal, considering that a 1/10th scale crawler with a handful of high end mods could easily reach the 2k range. That said, it is $1k for a stock truck.

If I start saving my pennies I might be able to grab one by next year. I already have $35.00 set aside.
