hi guys my xl-5 has intermittent power worse with some battery packs than others does anybody know what could cause this would it be the motor or the battery's or both thanks

could be a weak or breaking solder joint, could be the ESC itself. Its possible their could be something wrong with the motor thats causing it to look like its a power issue but Id say thats less likely than the other. I doubt its the battery since it happens with multiple batteries. Id check the solder joints on the ESC Lipo connector and I would check the solder joints inside the ESCs case (assuming it is no longer under warranty) first. Then if that doesn't seem to be the problem then Id take a spare motor (or borrow one from a friend maybe?) and test it with a different motor. If you can varify that your motor is good then it would almost have to be your ESC. Unless its a signal problem between the TX and RX making it seem as if its loosing power but in reality its loosing signal. IDK man without a better description of the problem I'm kinda shootin' in the dark here.

thanks for the reply i had this motor in my other truck and it done the same but i don't know if it's the motor or the battery's because my son charge's them and forgets to use them just wondering if it was possible for battery's to cause this thanks
