I would buy these long before I would trust another RC specific brand of body scissor:
• Tungsten Carbide Iris Lab Scissors, 4.5”, Curved - Gold Finger Ring Handle, 5X Stronger than Stainless Steel

I haven't used scissors in a long time to cut a body, except for straight stuff like the rocker panel. But I had ones like those. I would grab the straight ones too if you plan on getting
SCX24's or any other small stuff. But both of those would be good for wheels arches in any scale. The arches typically start straight, then curve. Having a couple different sizes of each style would be like icing on the cake too. Along with a bigger straight scissor.
I was spoiled as a child. My dad had probably 30 different surgical style scissors. Some belonged to my grandpa, who was a tool collector. He had a ton of really cool old stuff. I never had to use a scissor that wasn't perfect for the job.
And I've tried so called body scissors, and the ones I tried I actually threw them in the garbage the first time I tried them. The blades would bend and just pinch the lexan instead of cutting. But they were on my shelf for maybe a year before I tried them.
Buy once. Cry once. The ones I linked are cheap. You should see the really nice ones out there. $200 plus. But I promise you, the surgical scissors will be like a dream come true after suffering through cutting a body with crappy scissors.
Here you go.
Mark is a diehard Tamiya fan boy, which I am not a fan of. But watching Mark's vids, I completely get it. He does FANTASIC body and decal work, and he makes his cars look gorgeous. And that does make them more fun to drive

.
Just watch him, and you'll be a pro. Especially the part about cutting the bottom sill first, then sanding it. If you sand it after doing your arches, you can easily fold the corner of the wheel arch over and scuff your body before you get to drive it. Check out how easily he cuts an arch with his surgical scissors. And watch him do the masks. PERFECT placement, every time, and is how I learned to do decals as a kid from my brother.
