You got me wanting one again. My next few bucks are for batteries and 1/16 parts.

After running my new Rlaarlo XTS-S10 around on a paved parking lot, I was surprised at the number of tiny stones that fell out of the chassis when I turned it upside down. Since the model has a small gap under the motor pinion/spur cover that at least one user claimed allowed small stones to jam or damage the gears, I figured it would be a good idea to plug up that gap.

Turns out two of the sticky-backed foam pieces that came with the car for modifying the battery tray were the perfect thickness to do the job. I sliced a small piece off one and stuck it in place where it filled the gap nicely. Worries eliminated...

I worked on both my dad's Yokomo YZ-2 CAL3 got the servo horn remounted with locktite and redid the end points since they were set way too high like 120 left and 104 right i put them into the 76 - 78ish both left and right. I also moved the pinion gear on my B74.1 back a little bit since it might have moved forward from the crashes last time at the track. Also we haven't yet fully repaired the YZ-2 CAL3 since my dad hasn't yet ordered the gearbox cap from Amain but hopefully we'll get it fixed soon and get back out to the track before we move to Tucson in the next few months.

I have accomplished something today that I never thought in a million years I could ever do. I still can't, and really didn't, but I did. I have no idea how I did it, but I can do it again. It took about a month total to research this project and I wasn't sure it would work until today - when I turned something loose and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. You'll see soon 🤩

Will we despair, though?

You won't, no. But Mike will hehehe wahahaha!

I'll try to get some info up tonight. It's hopefully going to be pretty cool. One guy who is pretty big out there in the RC world said it would be a bit of a game changer for folks like us. Mostly like Mike. But others too.

Clearly its a high speed, gas powered, multi car, Kyosho polisher. 🤔😍🤣

I don't even know what it is yet and I know I already need 3 and want 2 more for my pit box!!! 😍🤷‍♀️🤯

I'm actually pretty excited today, I picked this Bandit up for my 11 year old a week ago, the kid I bought it from initially listed it on marketplace for $45 and when I messaged him to buy it he decided he wanted to change it to $60 (shady but I think it was still worth $60) but I got him back down to $52 lol. It was dirty as all hell, missing the two front wheels, rears are bald, no wheel pins, motor wouldn't run, radio came with it and an 8.4v 3000mAh battery was included but he didn't know if it would take a charge or not. As soon as we swapped money and car he took off from our meet spot. I think he may have thought he pulled one over on me 🤷‍♂️

Anyway I ordered all the bits and pieces we were missing and changed the plug on the esc and battery to xt60 and charged it up. Motor would not run but the steering worked fine and the battery took a full charge just fine. All of the parts except the motor were delivered today. I ordered a replacement motor but that hasn't shown up yet. Over the weekend in a last ditch effort to get this motor to work I submerged it in a ultrasonic parts washer for two cycles and saturated it with WD-40 for 4 days. Well I got everything else together and the tires glued and decided to try the motor out. After a few sparks and sputters it was just ripping! Flung dirty wd-40 everywhere but she's working just fine. I set the mesh and took it outside to test and everything is perfect. All in I have $52 in the car and another $45 in parts.

My kid is about to get home from school and as soon as he's done with his homework I'm gonna let him take it outside. Perfect day for it. Here's some pictures from marketplace to my basement to all finished :)
