I'd like to know how many guys on this forum are also into nitro or electric planes, helis or jets.
In the last year, all my extra time and money has been in R/C cars, and I'm getting out of the planes. If there's any interest here I'll be putting most of them up for sale. It's a long haul to the flying field, and my eyes aren't the best anymore for dealing with that 3rd dimension.
So, what do you fly?

I've got a trainer, a few sport planes, a 40 size pattern plane with a YS 63fz (4 stroke s/c), and a 2 meter pattern plane with a YS 140...for xmas I got a funfly but I have yet to assemble it.

My dad's got a fun fly, but it needs to be covered. He's also got an old school pattern plane from the early 80's...brand new never flown.

Sadly though, I haven't flown in over a month and a half. I've just been too lazy. I was just starting to get used to the 2 meter patter plane too.

I think there are only maybe 10 here that fly. I think I'm the local plane post whore; I have a Funtana S40, a EF Edge, wattage live wire, and I just got an Insane Foamies foam kit. A friend shot some good video the other day of me flying the Edge - it rolls about 10 feet and blasts straight up like a rocket. Christian, Error, and I think Fasteddy and Zandor also fly.

I have a pt-20 and a pt-40 and also a custom built speed/stunt plane. We have 80 acres so I have plenty of places to fly and take off from. I'm still not the best at flying but I'm gettin there. Give me a PM before ya list anything, maybe Ill take it off your hands early. I'm always interested in plane and plane part stuff :)

I'm working on being self-taught right now. I have a Funtec (Hitec) Sky Scooter foamie that I'm learning to bash up. Actually I've really gotten the hang of it. I also have a Feda Mini-Dragonfly electric heli that I have not even come close to getting the hang of. Thank goodness for my new flight sim. And right now I'm seriously looking at grabbing up a Shock Flyer Extra 330S or similar 3D foamy to beat up on...

iam not flying as of yet but iam training on the g2 real flight sim..but i'am in the prosess of biding on a heli.but i'am interested in planes too

Candyman, the foamie is a good idea. There is a lot of talk about the shock flier and other foamies on RCU. I just bought an Insane foamies something-or-other from here:

http://insanefoamies.com/planes.swf

It was $35.00, and I heard they fly great. Check the vids on that site too. I also got a GWS 350C brushed motor for it with 6.6:1 gearbox for another $18, and I already have the radio gear. I hope to get it finished this weekend. Foamies are the best way to learn hovering, elevators, etc, because they are CHEAP!

Zagi 400x
XE2 Combat Wing (I love this thing!!!!)
Raptor Heli (never flown, probably never will)
Buying a mini electric heli (maybe this week) and will fly that. I just feel more comfortable crashing a couple hundred dollars versus a couple thousand! Period.

I have logged countless hours on realflight G2 and have most of the helis down. Especially 3d models. Believe it or not, I have a harder time with the larger, non 3d helis. So the mini electric should be fun.

do any of you have any thoughts on this heli I think iam going to buy it

john is selling it in the for sale fourm

I just checked. It's been sold.

Gotta' love G2. I learned to fly my heli on it. On the sim I can hover upside down inches off the ground, and do some intense 3-D. I still won't ever do it with the real one, but the sim is great for training your reflexes.
I custom edited the Jet Ranger heli within the program, and after almost 2 weeks of tweaking it, I have a heavy heli that behaves like a real one. Hovers like a floating cloud and is a dream to auto rotate. It's unbelievable what you can create within the program.
I'd like to e-mail you the edited chopper, paint and rotor files, Christian, but G2 is in the XP computer that locks up when I try to boot up.
Let me know if you're interested, and somewhere down the road I'll have the problem corrected.

I am absolutely interested! No hurry either as its the winter months that I spend on G2. Good weather is very limited round here and keeps me busy with the house and what little R.C. time I've had this season lol

Id love to check it out.

it was just posted today johnsland8 just bought it and is now selling it.any thoughts

What do you mean, the guy who just bought it on e-bay is now selling it?
I'm not familiar with that heli, but Kyosho is very high on my list of good stuff. I have their electric twin ducted fan Lear Jet in my stable...er...hangar of planes, and it's a real beauty. It was the 2000 model of the year.

Best of luck, if you buy it. I guess you know that you also need a 6 channel computer radio for it. I have the JR XP652. It was $269.

I just put my Century Falcon .46 up for sale today at $650 without the radio.
A few extras with it like the 12V starter, one way bearing starter shaft and 2 gallons of fuel. I'm trying to sell locally, through the flying club, rather than deal with the hassle of packaging and shipping a heli that's 4 ft. long and almost a foot and a half high. I know I'm gonna' miss it.
