kx250ryder said:Easiest way to see which is better, is to try both. Keep notes on what you like, nothing fancy, just on a scratch piece of paper. It takes the guess work (or memory work) out of the equation for later.
aj200415 said:k, thats a good idea, but hear is the thing; the 15 tooth is aluminum and its KINDA worn out, and the 14 tooth is plastic whith what looks like a copper or reg. metal inner piece, which is worn in just a very little, but not bad at all. which should i go with?
vbgagnon said:What car are you putting this in? This will determine how hard it is to change the bell. And if the plastic is going to hold up.
Just a tip when your asking questions give us all the info we need so that we can help you, what car, what engine, what your intent is, and so on.
not for shere what car it is, but it has a megatech engine
kx250ryder said:Well, if the metal one is worn out, it will make your diff/spur gear wear out faster too probably. But I would suggest running both gears anyway, and seeing which gives you better performance for the type of conditions you are driving in. If you like the 15 tooth, then buy a replacement that isn't worn out. If you like the 14 better, then use the one you have.
Always make sure the mesh is correct. If it's a little off, you will strip the gear.aj200415 said:can use the plastic 14 tooth, cause it doent fit in right, just bout stripped the spur gear
