i see a lot of cool names on here, and I'm often curious what they mean. if its anime i probably know it but thats about it lol, then i see some names that i think i understand but I'm not positive. so i thought id ask?
if anyone wants to join in that'd be cool
my handle is
Majin. its from an anime dragonball z.
a majin is often refered to as an evil spirit in japanese language, but its broader meaning is something of supernatural origin,
theres a part in the show, where my guy Vegeta decides he wants to return to his evil ways to gain more power.
but then he realizes thats not as important to him as it used to be that his family is more important and he sacrifices himself for the chance to save them,
to me it epitomizes to me fatherhood.
heres a clip otherworld is what we would refer to as heaven

this made me change how i react to things and where i place my family in the scheme of things.
i named my son Vegeta to remind him that he is the strongest. that he is my pride., that i gave up my old ways for him to make sure he has a better father than i had ( i didnt have one, mom said I'm going to college he said good luck lol)

Years ago when I was just a kid, Clear Lake California had a huge frog infestation and there were literally millions of young
juvenile frogs.
My grandfather and I would go out and catch a ton of them, so basically my best memory of my grandfather was just that.
I've loved frogs ever since.
It also amazes me that some of the little frogs in this world with such beautiful colors are extremely deadly.

I needed something short, sweet, and potentially brandable when coming up with my YouTube and Instagram account name. I pronounce it "Jay-Torque" because I'm a cool guy.

Xraycer is a play on words between the well known cartoon series and my occupation as a medical radiographer.

suburban_hooligan. a name i gave myself after my other names were all banned from various forums over the last 30 years.
it stems from living in the suburbs so that part is self explanatory. the hooligan part comes from me being me. while not directly doing anything to illegal (at least intentionally) or bad, or even outside the rules, i march to the beat of my own drum, do or say things people would rather i not do, think for myself rather than fallow conformity, question authority, and when you live your life like that people tend to label you a troublemaker, a punk, a delinquent, a problem. aka a hooligan. so it just seemed fitting.

see i always thought it was because you are heavy into guitars, hence tuned and that you just had a thing for frogs, now it makes even more sense and is a really cooler name to me than it was before even thanks bro!

I know there is another thread for this topic that wasn't ancient but I couldn't find it. So...

Back when I started flying RC's I had a Super cub that I called the "cub of doom" that I put through the wringer. I used to do what I called "Death Dives" get lots of altitude then dive straight toward the ground then pull up at the last possible second while everyone gasped. My wings would flex like crazy. One of the other guys dubbed me Captain Doom! and it stuck. Eventually is got shortened to just "Doom"
