  1. Bashing
I'm new to this stuff, very new. but i immediately claimed an age old backpack as my r/c toolbox. i kept a plastic tote bin in it which was pretty nice til a gnarly errant jump with the revo ended up destroying it as it sat at my feet. okay, i had to take evasive action. :D

the backpack alone works okay, but stuff is everywhere inside of it and i dont have a good enough pocket for the common tools to be accessed from the outside. i am looking to see if anyone here has a brilliant idea for a backpack or bag with lots of pockets and pouches on the outside for random bashing in the wild or long walks on the beach with my revo..

i wont try to put the revo in it, just the radio, spare parts and tools. post up what you use.

Get a fanny-pack, they're stylish and functional. :hehe: Just kidding, they are not so good for RC'ing.

I have a small tool box that holds everything but my fuel and rig. It doesn't have a lot of room for spare parts, but I plan on buying some small bins that will fit it soon.

I always wondered if a 5-gallon bucket with one of those 'tool belt' things they make for them would work. I think they would, but there would be those that consider it too 'redneck' or 'ghetto'. I fit the redneck category so I just might try it out.

What vehicle do you run? Are you looking for a bag for it as well as your tools?

For all my big tools, I use a regular toolbox. For parts, I use 1 large tackle box that I cut out sections of the interior for room for larger parts for my aftershock. I use smaller tackle type boxes/organizers for all my little nuts/bolts and whatnot.

For smaller tools that I take to the field with me, I use a small travel bag that isn't much larger than a shaving kit bag. I use a large wingtote bag to carry my trucks. My aftershock and an 1/8 scale buggy fit in it just fine as does my tool bag, remote, camera, a large organizer box with all my assorted screws/washers/bits and a few other misc items. It's awkward to carry, but it gets the stuff to my car and to the bashing site.

My large bag is this, but red: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSUH4&P=7

They didn't have this one when I bought mine, or I would have gotten it:

Pockets on both ends and a pocket made just for the fuel bottle. Nifty!

They didn't have this one either then:

But at $110, I don't think I'd buy it... $50 was bad enough! But my $50 one has held up for 5+ years of abuse.

those are some nice looking bags. the size seems excessive and i hope for a backpack. the tackle boxes are lookin pretty damn handy too. that is one thing i probably would never have thought of.

I have an older Plano box that I use for my tools. I carry almost everything I'd need in it, from screw drivers to an inverter (DC to AC). The only thing I need to get is a small soldering iron for trackside repairs. For everything else, I have a folding crate on wheels I got from Big Lots for a buck.

I have the Wingtote that olds97_lss refered to. It is just too damn big for everyday use, imo, but it will hold everything you need and your rig too.

Now I use a shooting bag from Midway USA. Holds everything for both my trucks and I just carry the trucks. And yes, my tackle box fits in the middle compartment just fine, and the side pockets are so big they hold my transmitters!
