I didn't really get anything interesting. Actually, the most "fun" present I got was $100 cash from my father-in-law. I'm gonna buy some RC stuff. My son needs a JR receiver, but I really really want a good EZ up for racing (sucks to sit in the sun).
Anyway, when I was a kid, christmas was the end all be all holiday. I remember stiring restlessly inbed many Christmas Eve nights wishing to find a Nintendo Entertainment System or maybe a cool Radio Shack RC car under the tree for me. Now that I'm old (well older), I find the most joy comes in giving to others. Watching my kids go nuts over presents we bought them is the best. Also, you should have seen my brother-in-law gleefully jumping like a little kid when he opened the new hard drive I bought him for his xbox.
This year, I got a new pair of shoes, socks, a little gadget for sealing plastic bags, $100 from my father in-law and a cheese and sausage gift basket from my mom. It's a pretty cumby list I guess, but the joy of giving to others isn't something you can wrap up and the memories are yours to keep for a life time.
