British law? No idea. Bobbies don't carry guns, so you won't have to worry about having it blown away.

how long can i run my fusion for?

Until it runs out of fuel, or until a Bobbie whacks it with his billy club. Which ever comes first.

anyways.

I'm not sure on the law, but my friend here in illinois got a warning ticket for having an r/c car that goes over 50mph and is not licensed on the street.
 
I don't think it's permited to run your car on the street, as far as I've seen in many forums, people arround the world had problems for running on the street, same as skate parks and BMX track, engine powered vehicles are forbiden in those places.
 
Here in California, the cops just love people running their R/C's in the street; gives them their ticket quota real fast.

Your best bet is to find a local park to run at, or something like a big patch of dirt. Even a parking lot that doesn't have very many cars in it will suffice.

Just keep it as far away from big cars as you can.
