Picked up a filament dryer this week.
In Kentucky it stays hella humid. Seeing this as a potential issue (especially with spring rains coming in) I got the sunlu s4 dryer.
Waiting on some petg to come in the mail tomorrow so I can start making more durable things. All I've used so far is pla
Works great but I'm not trying to make rc wall mounts out of the pla. Not risking my trucks falling if I'm not driving them off an edge. That's for me to do NOT gravity.
So hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able to start printing out stuff to help me clear up some space in my Uber small hobby room
I currently just have some stackable tables to hold em and I can I'm barely fit three rc on each level. It just has a larger footprint that would be better used for about anything really ... Imagine having a chair!!!! O man dreams right there lol
I'm out of filament other than the PVA support. ( Don't tell @WickedFog that I screwed up my spool.. he will think less of me)
So now we are gonna print out a spool winder so I can rewrap the filament.
Been sick for 5 days so haven't accomplished much this week
Lame city yo

You let go of the end of the filament didn't ya 😉

You gotta keep ahold of that filament end like it's a pissed off rattlesnake. I did it once and had to unroll an entire 2kg roll in my kitchen floor, then wind it all back on the spool. Took me about an hour.

yeah i was watching the wrong tube while backing it out to swap spools. then heard the thwipt sound of it slacking up. its a little under half a roll. lesson learned.

I have been designing things again for my (I will call it 1/8 scale) crawler project. I did a skid, an upper battery/electronics plate, and a mid-upper tray for wiring/electronics. My RC logo is on the parts too! OOO its gonna be cool. I can't wait to start a thread for this!

Never seen a ride height gage exactly like this one. Found this while searching for t4 stuff. This would be a very easy print once dimensions are figured out.

I actually had a similar idea going through my head the other day. I have some bearings I wanted to do something with and was thinking about some setup tools.

would be easy if you could get your hands on one to take precise measurements of it.

I'm so used to hearing my printer running when I'm in the garage that it's weird when it isn't running 😆
Yeah, I was like that for quite awhile. I had 4 printers going for a few days at one point on a few prints.

Think the parts look just fine with a layer of paint.
Finally got my black and grey in tho so the rest will be printed in black and grey.
I hope they match otherwise I'm gonna have to spray the whole thing just to match lol
Waiting for the first coat to dry
Krylon is WAAAAAAY slower than rc paints lol
