Team Associated: SC10 / MT10 Spur Gear Cover

The weak link of this excellent R/C truck is the spur gear cover always falls off,
.... a stone gets in there and chews my gears,
... ... then I have to take the car half apart to rebuild the transmission.

To get a new spur gear cover you have to buy an entire chassis kit. $30 for a $0.25 part.
The first thing I did when I got a 3D printer a few weeks ago was to engineer and print a better spur gear cover.
I got the prototype pretty close on the 1st try. I carved a bit to make it fit, then made those changes to CAD.

I designed the cover to use the existing hole and a 2nd hole in the chassis.
- Once I used a larger screw in the 1st hole it was really sturdy. I didn't need to use the 2nd hole.

Valentines googly eyed hearts for the kids to give their friends in class. 15 down, 33 creepy smiling little bastards to go.

Still not sure why my daughter chose the chrome paint pen to give some of them Paul Wall grills…but Imma let her do her.
