Super easy pastry recipe.

Okay, here is a real easy and tasty pastry recipe. Not really sure that you can call it a recipe if it doesn't have that many ingredients 😂. To make this pastry recipe taste better play Vivaldi's Four Seasons at a moderate volume enough to fill the kitchen while you're preparing this pastry 😎👍.

First thing set your oven to bake at 375° while you prepare the pastry. Use two Pillsbury Crescent dough sheets one for the top and one for the bottom. Roll the bottom sheet out onto a very lightly greased large cookie sheet. For this pastry I use one 21oz can of Duncan Hines Apple pie filling . Of course, use any filling you wish. Spread the filling out onto the base sheet leaving an edge uncovered around the outside. I sprinkled on additional cinnamon. Place the second sheet over the top of your pastry making any adjustments needed to even the edges. Once you've done that take a fork and go around the outside edge to make a "minimal" crimp at the edge. I cut some vent slots in the top of the pastry but I don't think that really needs to be done. For an additional wrinkle to this pastry brush on some butter and sprinkle some sugar over the top to create a sugar crust while it's baking. Now, each oven is different to say the least. I have a conventional gas oven and I bake these for 18 minutes. Trust me trial and error I started out at 22 minutes and made my way down to 18 minutes.

Hardest part about this recipe is waiting for it to cool before you can eat it. Take a large ice cream scoop and place your vanilla ice cream right in the middle and if you wish drizzle on some caramel topping as well which would go very well with apple pie filling. If the pastry lasts long enough you can have it for breakfast for several days. Enjoy my friends.

Nice choice with the Vivaldi! 😍 looks like a happy snack, might have to give that a try. Do you think it would still work with Mozart?

Mozart! Oh yes I'm certain indeed 😎! I've made this pastry snack before with the opera singer Cecilia Bartoli. She's always been a big help 😂👍. If you make this pastry I hope you enjoy! It's so easy to make and it's so good.

Looks like a giant Poptart. I'm in!

I'm having my morning coffee, right now, and that "bread" would go so awesome with it!
It turned out AMAZING. Best banana bread I've ever made. My mom's is still the best though.

This is hospital week. Today, we were treated to breakfast!

Why do they always make that without sausage in the gravy in places like that? It looks good, but I just can't stand just gravy on biscuits. My gramma would scold whoever made that, and that woman could talk down at ya and make ya cry 😅

There actually was sausages in the gravy. It was just, ok. The biscuits were very salty, though. It was free, so....
