RC Driving Style
My first R/C was when I was like 6 years old. It was a Rebound
I loved that R/C but one day it raining and I want to drive it so bad I went out side and drove it right into a puddle.:opps: And it started to smoking and sparking as I remember. My second R/C I was like 10, it was a Tyco stinger I think, 8 tires and I still have it. My 3rd I got when I was 15, R/c was an el-rustler which I bought off a friend for 50 bucks it had a 19T with a old speed control. My 4th R/c was a T-maxx. I sold it on ebay one year later because it kept breaking on me on ever jump I hit. I am now 17 years old and I still have my rustler which is now a 9T.

I planing on buying the New Savage X:devious:

Wow. I'll make myself look a little old here. I really can't remember my first technical RC. I'm sure it was some cheapo toy store car. But when I was in middle school, I bought an Associated RC12E. It was state of the art back then. A fiberglass 1/12 scale pan car. By today's standard it was frighteningly basic. No suspension. No ESC. Variable resistor with a wiper arm. The only thing you could adjust were the motor, gear ratio and tire size and compound. I raced it for a few years then fell out of the hobby. Got back in the hobby about 6 years ago with a RC10GT, a Nitro RS4, then a T-Maxx, a Nitro RS4 3, a Mayhem, and then a Savage SS 4.6. Needless to say, I'm addicted.

mine was the tyco tantrum. that thing was unbreakable. drove it in the rain snow through puddles. the front end could do complete 360 trun with a touch of a button on the remote. i loved that thing i still have the battery pack for it.

My first RC was a little red sports car I received for X-mas when I was about 10 or 11. It only went in two directions straight forward, or reverse with a turn. It was great until I took it apart (didn't eveyone take their stuff apart when they were little?) and had one too many pieces left over when I put it back together.

My first real one was a Tamiya Brat that was way back. Then a fews years ago I got interested again and wanted to try out nitro cars. I got an ST-15 and I loved it so I beat on that for awhile. Now I just got a Warhead a few weeks ago.

My very first rc was a silver late 70's vette, not sure where it came from but I loved that thing. It had a steering wheel and two buttons for forward and reverse.

Tamiya hornet,a hobby shop here in sydney called Uncle Petes, drove like-minded kids like me insane with ads for frogs clodbusters lunch boxes grasshoppers fast attack vehicles brats etc etc...man those were the days...doin paper runs to save the cash...being one of five in my family-no cash for r/c..but i saved and got that hornet..gave it to my mates young son..

First RC,Rat Shack's Golden Arrow and later Tyco's Turbo Hopper. These were "ultimate" toys back in the day for me.

First real hobby grade RC,the Tamiya Hornet,I installed a Kyosho LeMans 240S motor, paid almost $100 for the motor, had to save long to get one :whip:

Tamiya Hotshot. Lately I have been wanting to get another one but can't bring myself to pay the $750 for a NIB kit. I am hoping for a re-release by Tamiya.

Grasshopper was still new when I was 12....then came the falcon..then a slew of RC10 gold tubs....Losi JRX-2 ( I still have a bunch of parts from then)....then the JRXT-2 pro (still have) 10 years pass w/ no RCs and I get a box of T-maxx parts and build a friggin Army of rollers and sold them to buy more RC stuff.......read my profile for curren army of NITRO!!!!!!!

Radio Shack Golden Arrow when I was 11... then I didn't get another until 5 years ago which was a losi xxx-nt RTR.

Since then, t-maxx, t-maxx, hpi nitromt, savage, hb lightning buggy, revo. I've gotten rid of the xxx-nt, maxx's and the nitro mt.

My first one was some kind of tyco grade red sports car then i got a tamiya Fox, then a rc10 gold pan.

Since then 2 Evader st's, nitro evader st, rs4-3 with a plenty of hop ups, and i still own my gold pan..

I can't remember what my first r/c was. I'm almost sure I had one of those cars connected by the cable but that's not really r/c then is it? I think my first r/c was the Camaro I posted about in another topic. I don't know who made it but I don't think it was Nikko, Tyco, or anyone of those big brands. Years later I bought the Hornet with paper route money, then came the RC10, then a Kyosho Big Brute, and now after many years of not doing r/c a Savage 25. The RC10 and the Hornet which I restored before the re-release still remain from the original group, the Big Brute I sold years ago :(

My first one was a rack shack big foot remote that only had one bottom. It would run forward until you pressed the botton and then it would stop and back up in a right turn. It was a Christmas gift from my mom and dad a few months after my 9th birthday.

Another two cents from the old farts' club, after the Tyco's cam the Tamiya quickdrive, which is not a **real** RC in that the electronics are all propietary. But then the trouble started: Tamiya Stadium Blitzer, JRX which then got converted to an XT, then the one that's still my favorite, original RC10T. I still have the quickdrive, Blittzer, and two 10T's. These are all over 12 years old. :D

The Tamiya Hornet And Grasshopper. The Hornet Still(barely) Runs
