I bought the Tamiya TT-02 '99 Subaru WRC car, and, then realized why I don't paint bodies anymore. It didn't turn out bad though in my opinion. I used the Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue, PS-12 Metallic Silver for the backing, and PS-31 Smoke for the windows. I still have to finish the wing (lost the screws somehow), and put the mirror on. Yes, I know, I'm missing a body clip lol.

Looks great! Well done. PS-16 is a great color, esp. for a Subaru rally car. And your backing it with PS-12 really makes the blue metallic pop. Smoke is hard to spray. It runs and sags so easily. So, overall it came out very nicely.

Missing a body clip? No biggie. Rally cars often finish an event missing a few parts, so it is representative of its full-size counterpart. Keep up the good builds. Cheers. -AC

The painting part wasn't new for me, in a way. I used to build plastic models, and rarely ever kept them the color they were molded in. It was more the stickers that I was afraid would come out wrong, since I absolutely hate doing them. I would have rather done it all in paint, but I've never been that good at doing designs in paint. I probably could have traced them, but, I'm not sure if that would work, especially with the smaller ones.

Awesome car.

Dude, that looks great!
Thank you both.
