Mine was the Axial Yeti. It was so fun to build. I had a great time building it just to find out it was a complete turd! The design in the front suspension was so bad. Every time you crashed the front hinge pins would bend because there was no real support. In hindsight I would have built the Losi Rock Rey.

Axial Yeti: the kit that led me down a long road of kit building!

Tamiya Hornet 1986.

I've contemplated building a Tamaya kit, but have yet to pull the trigger.
I wanna just for nostalgic reasons for sure.. Problem is-I know once I grab a Grasshopper, it’ll be Hornet, Lunchbox, HotShot, Wild One, Midnight Punmpkin, Clod Buster…. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Then RC10, Ultima, Yokomo Dogfighter… And on to eBay to hunt down a couple OG Custom Works… Dominator, and Intimidator…

There went $3k I could’ve dumped on more 1/8 buggies, and truggies that won’t just sit on a shelf… 🤣

I have my nostalgia wall I would like to have one day. Kyosho's, couple vintage RC10's, Losi XXX, and a few Tamiya's if space permits.

I’m sure we all share many of the same chassis for each of our “walls”… 😎

Just all the iconic ones from the 80's that I drooled over in the Tower catalogs. I currently have six I would have in that list. I guess my wall would be a little bigger 😝

NOOOOOOO! That NEVER happens! 🙄🤣

Oh man I so wanted the Yeti, but in the end I got a Wraith Spawn kit. It was a piece of crap too! 😂

After that a TRX4 sport kit.

I'd like to build a SCT410 but it'll probably be cheaper to get a used one.

My first kit was the Kraken Vesla kit in the electric flavor. I did it summer 2024 and it was a blast. Even more fun to drive.
Just don't crash! My kit came with some pretty brittle a-arms and spindles

Either a Kyosho Pegasus (i can't remember if that was a kit. Probably was)
Or a Tamiya m01 mini Cooper.

The m class chassis used to have a huge fallowing and thier own racing class. Was a super cheap & fun class. Now there's very little info I can find on that class. Wierd.

I have a vintage rc car collecting problem. @Littlemotor can vouch.
I have more fun hunting them down and the parts to build/restore old rc's then I do actually running them anymore. Well.... its pretty close to a 50/50 but I thoroughly enjoy it.
Nothing more exciting then finally finding THAT piece you've been on the search for for 2 years and getting it finally and completing a build.
